All the luck in the world and no skills, right ;-)
His stats would be even crazier if he had more games in those PO series...

To me ^^^ always to be remembered as the funky toes pic. Pixel peeping is his enemy here. Those funky toes may be the reason somehow psychologically that he chose to be a flopper in the NBA instead of a man like "where's their balls?" Kobe Bryant. Where's Punk?

I just happened to turn on the Cavs vs Pacers game and saw them waxing poetic about Lebron's amazing 1st round playoff record 11-0 currently and very likely 12-0 after this game. They showed a stat that he has 20 straight victories (again prob 21 after this game) and his win percentage is .870. Hubie even commented that Lebron is treating teams like the 1 vs 16 game in the NCAA tournament.

    WOW, stats!

We never hear about the competition he faces either. The best team the man faced had 36-30 (.545%). Now, we know the #1 and #2 seeds face the easiest competition, so lets be real, they played who they had to play. We just never hear that the comp basically sucks. Dominating scrub teams that would not even make the playoffs half the time in the West.

Game is over and Cavs won again. More impressive stats for Bron. Still wonder if the whole picture gets painted on his career when it is all said and done?

It was annoying after that game where the Cavs came back from 26 or whatever it was. "Lebron makes history. Lebron passes Kobe. Etc. Etc."

As Puff mentioned...NBC today near the end of the game tallied up James' accomplishments in the First Round with "The King" tag. I don't recall Jordan given the same "royal" treatment. I have to give him props taking that game altering three in the last minute plus the two defensive stops on Stevenson and Turner.

he has made some big plays.

but it is sort of sad that we're qualifying accomplishments with "first round". i actually think that's beneath lebron. he's a living legend. talking about winning first round series actually cheapens it, imo.

It was something along the lines of most straight series won, record number of games won, winning percentage... I didn't note the exact stats, busy with the eye rolls and accompanying smirk.

I feel dirty rooting for the j*** but the greasy faced coach of the floppers reminds me of the team that cannot be named and their blank banner.

How many of the first round teams he faced through the years make the playoffs in the West. People always nitpicked Kobe's accomplishments (couldn't win without Shaq, forgetting he played with Kwame and Smush, etc.) but apparently "the King" is un-nitpick-able.

    OK.... I am annoyed.

Amount of first round opponents in 12 years of LeBron playoff career:

    * with record over 50%: 6
    * with record at 50%: 3
    * like @puffyusaf#2 mentioned, the highest winning ratio: 0.545

    * that would make the playoffs in West in the same year: 2 (last 2 years)

    So... there.

Yes I looked at all the last 12 years and was like this isn't super praise worthy. If it was the Lakers or the Spurs all we would hear is LA/SAS steamrolled teams that had no chance of beating them. Even so the 8th seed in the West had 44 or more wins 8 of the 12 times. The East had ZERO. In fact, the highest win total was Det with 44 wins in 2016. The 3 of the 4 West teams that didn't still had over 40 wins with the Jazz at 36-30. They were ALL still over .500 or better.

People like to say this is Bron hating but that isn't the case its media hating. When the Cavs came back from 26 down one headline said something like "Lebron toys with Pacers gives them 26 point lead, snatches it away!" One of the greatest comebacks in my playoff watching history was Lakers vs Blazers game 7. The way they make this game sound it would be better even though that Blazers team would steam roll this cavs team. We won't mention the what that Laker team would do to them. Crazy how much we hype this stuff up.

Going back as far as ESPN lets me (2003) The west #1 seed has NEVER faced an opponent with a losing record in that time frame. I'd be curious to see how long it has been since a West team got in the playoffs with a losing record. Strike season maybe?

I'd be curious to see Lebron's 2nd round opponents' records vs western conference 2nd round records since 2006. Many times, the 2nd round in the west is BRUTAL vs .500 teams in the east.

Thanks Zenmaster. So 21 years since the West has had a losing team in the playoffs. Let me continue with this current topic.

Since 03/04 season the East has had the following:
    04- 2 under .500 (4 @ 500 or below including the 2 under)
    05- 0 teams under
    06- 1 under (3 @ .500 or below)
    07- 1 Under (3 @ or Below)
    08- 2 under (3 @ or below)
    09- 1 under (3 @ or below)
    10- 0 under (1 @ 500)
    11- 1 under (2 @ or below)
    12- 0 ... shortened season
    13- 1 under (#7 team was 1 game over .500)
    14- 1 under
    15- 2 under (3 @ or below)
    16- 0
    17- 0 (1 @ 500)

Simply put 25 teams were @ .500 or below. Of that 12/25 were below 500 going into the playoffs. Remember the West had zero losing teams since 97.

Now, same time frame for the West looking strictly at teams that DID NOT make the playoffs with a .500 or better record.
    03- 1 over .500
    04- 1 over/ 1 at .500
    05- 1 over
    06- 0 over / 1 team at .500
    07- 0
08- 1 over* / 1 at .500 ( over team had 48 wins and would of been 4th seed in the East that year)
09- 1 over* ( over team had 46 wins and would of been 5th seed in East that year)
    10- 1 over
    11- 1 over
    12- 1 over/ 1 at .500
    13- 1 over/ 1 at .500
14- 1 over* (over team had 48 wins could of been 3rd, 4th or 5th seed in the East that year)
15- 1 over* (over team had 45 wins would of been 6th in the East.
    16- 0
    17- 0

Simply put 16 teams were at 500 or above that did not make the playoffs in that same time frame. 11/16 were above .500 with 3 being significantly above in such a fashion 2 would have HCA in the East had they played in the conference. It is astonishing to see how much more grueling the West is over the East. I remember by Bron's second year sports media stopped saying LEASTERN Conference. Wonder why....

If Kerr is out for the entire playoffs I'm going to add that to LeBron's run of incredible playoff luck, something ALWAYS goes wrong with an opponent of his. The only time he's been hit with misfortune was 2 seasons ago when Love and Irving went down for the Finals, but other than that the guy is like lucky as hell. If Kerr is out and frickin Potato Head is the Warriors coach, how perfect is that for LeBron. That weak minded fool, going against the player that made him as a coach, you can't make this stuff up.
