Those injuries killed us. It had to happen right when we hit the toughest part of our schedule. If we had hit 30 wins, I'd give Luke an A. I think a C is appropriate, though.
We see things a bit differently. I predicted 29 wins, and that would be a low B for me. 34 wins would be the least I'd consider to bump him to the A. I like a lot that Luke has done, and seeing what's gone on the last five games honestly makes it hard to figure out how much of this season was sucking and how much was tanking.
Gotcha. There seems to be stability at the head coaching position, though. Though Luke has made me scratch my head at various times, it seems like he is going to be here for awhile. More importantly, the organization loves him and belives in him. I do, too. He's the best acquisition that Jim and Mitch made by far, IMO.
Luke gets a 74, but with the curve gets an 86. I think we expected too much, he made his mistakes, but he got the guys to keep fighting until the very end.
Luke has done a good job this year, some questionable decisions here and there but its easy to forget that he's a rookie head coach. Slowly but surely he's changing the culture of this team. I do hope he brings in a defensive assistant coach or something this summer, we desperately need it.
Wow both Julius and Brandon gave the same uncommon compliment for a player to say about their coach. "Nothing like I have ever seen / experienced"
Randle has seen the coaching difference between last season's experience and this one. Ingram was spared...he is fortunate.
Both had famous and successful college coaches as well, with the nod going probably to Krzyzewski with his Olympics resume additionally. But Luke's got that incredible personality everyone loves that comes in contact with or plays for him.
Luke is currently signed for 4 more years with us. I'm not sure how the Warriors could acquire Luke even if he wanted to leave us and coach them.
