At least he shot two hooks with his right hand. Missed them both, but I was happy that is he trying that in game.
The problem is if he can't contribute on offense (like every second game), he is a two way liability on the floor. He was clearly loafing on defense last game and then comes up with 2 for 7.... I dunno what to say anymore. Just doesn't have the heart and pride that it takes to be someone to rely on in a battle.
This is my problem. If you are going to suck on defense, you best better bring it every night on offense. I understand having an occasional night off, but it shouldn't be that if he explodes one game I EXPECT a 2-7 night the next. Doesn't matter though. We're trading him Clarkson and a pick for PG-13 and replacing him with Griffin. /pipe
If PG tells Bird he is leaving in 2018 and he wants to go to the Lakers, Clarkson, Randle, Top 2 pick and Houston 1 would do it. There are a few factors here that have to happen. 1, PG has to tell Bird he wants to be a Laker. 2, Lakers have to get a top 2 pick. 3, PG not making an All-NBA team. If those 3 happen, I could see PG coming this summer. And if the Lakers can make that trade on or before free agency hits, than Blake Griffin would at least consider changing locker rooms. I feel as comfortable as ever with Pelinka at the helm. The man knows the system and knows players and he has the Lakers brand besides the suckiness of its recent existence. The first big domino has to come, and then the rest will come. Ingram and D-Lo will be huge on this team. Add a couple of staples(haha) to that, and you have a team on the rise. And when those monstrosities come off the books in 3 years, you will have enough money to sign more guys and re sign your up and coming stars. if this isn't the focus, than they will continue to be losers. If you keep thinking pipe, you will be smoking pipe every April through June for the next 5 years.
We're not including the Top 2 pick for a trade for PG AND Randle/Clarkson...unless a pick comes back.
Kings added banners in 2012 and 2014. They at least kept the banners coming. Sparks added one, minor league, still added. And don't forget Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift has more banners than the LA Clappers.
You have to give up something to get something. I do not think Fultz or Ball will be mega stars. Lakers have enough youth. They need an established player in his prime to help attract more players and start winning. D-Lo, BI, Nance and Zubac are enough youth. We need vets not named loul s*** and Moscrap.
Those 2 banners almost make it more frustrating with what has happened the last 3 years to them. Two seasons of missing the playoffs and a first round exit.
Randle+Clarkson+Houston 1st is already something. Keep in mind Paul George only has 2 years left on his contract. Why would we give so much up? I'd rather take the chance on him coming here in Summer '18 than to give up all of that and gut the team.
Have to believe they can get a better offer than that. Randle and Clarkson haven't even shown they can be starters in this league. That pick is a late first rounder.
Doesn't matter if you do. It DOES matter if Magic thinks Lonzo will be. No way we are trading that pick if we can get Ball with it.
Tough. Teams will be hesitant to offer more than that imo knowing that PG could just leave. Boston wasn't able to pry him away with the Nets' pick.
You trade for him because you need matching contracts and the ability to max pay PG. PG leaving money on the table, especially if he makes an all nba team means free agency in 2018 is a huge risk. He will not turn down 70 million.
Randle really SEEMS like the type of guy who'd have a lot of heart. How come that's rarely the case in games..?
A double double two games ago, 23/12, and now two games back to back going 2 for 7. He should have big game next game right!?
When there's 7-footers like Mahinmi and Gortat in the paint, his scoring suffers. He can't or won't shoot 3's or mid-range shots to bring these guys out of the paint.
