It's not just about the Lou trade but everything that followed, including the decision to bench the vets.

The kids aren't stupid. They know what's up. We're trying to tank. Losing games is a win. They know the FO is basically running a tryout and evaluating the talent. I'd be like f*** them.

I can't believe it's another tank year. And for what? To get another combo guard in the draft?

Man, I'd be looking at it as an opportunity to shine and show I deserve to be a full time starter or in the rotation. Just not seeing that kind of passion from players across the board minus Zu/Ingram, and maybe Clarkson.

    Execution is another matter.

    An "asset" with value

Who knows if we keep it. Also, a traded first becomes two seconds to Orlando I think.

Developing the kids is the right move for now, but sure is painful to watch.

Lou didn't help us win games in December when we went 2 and 14. He scored a LOT of points during that stretch and kept us entertaining to some extent but he did not win games. That killed the season. Not trading Lou.

Again, the decision to trade Lou triggered the tank.

    This. Absolutely this.

If I'm a player on the floor, i'm thinking f*** the tank. I'm going to go out there and show them that they don't need a pick, they need me. I'm going to make myself as valuable as possible so that when the time comes, they're not trading me. You know who plays like that? Nwaba, because that guy knows if he doesn't he'll lose his job and he won't be in the NBA anymore. Everybody should play with that passion and now they're all given the opportunity to do it.

Yeah, imagine yourself involved in your company restructuring, with your colleagues getting fired or moved to another department. It's not easy to motivate employees whose morale have sunk.

Good point. Sometimes wholesale changes are not always welcomed with open arms. It's also why leaders bring in their own people who embrace a new vision vs deal with any passive aggressive attitudes or quasi resistance.

Those that are unable to embrace the change won't be here is my guess.

Which is another reason why I think we will see a pretty big shake up this summer with at least one of the Ingram-Russell-Randle trio leaving.

This franchise has been in a state of flux and negativity for quite a while. It shouldn't be too much of a shock that some of that trickled down to our young players.

Not a shock. In fact most of us predicted it years ago. Still disappointing and Stull means like you said at least some of these kids are gone this summer.

Yeah. I think a change could be good for all involved. We bring in some new talent that's ready to compete and some of these guys get a fresh start somewhere else.

I definitely agree. I think the kids will have a good chance to excel in another environment.

IMO, 3/4 of Russell, Randle, Clarkson, Nance are gone this summer.

I have a feeling Indy is going to want Ingram if they are really going to give up Paul George.

Then we back out and wait for summer 2018. Or try and take a bad contract from them.

Ingram isn't untouchable but it'd be a special deal to get him.
