Post All-Star he's averaging: 31.42 minutes 12.3 points 12.4 rebounds 5.1 assists 1.0 steals 0.43 blocks His efficiency has slipped, but his ORTg has gone from 105 to 111 and his DRTg from 111 to 110. Good numbers. Definitely numbers I'd keep around unless I could fit him perfectly next to Myles Turner...
He does seem like one of those guys that will have an extra gear come playoff time. He needs another year to develop, but I do think it would be a mistake to get rid of him. Besides, Nance won't be as durable, and PG doesn't want to play PF. Very few double double guys in the league. We can't have starters at all positions on the All Star team lol.
Redbone cover is so awful. Julius has a ton of talent. It's about whether or not he can put it together. I like him. I personally believe he will, but I wouldn't mind trading him to get better now as long as we get value for him.
I wouldn't send Julius for George, and I'm probably the only one on this board that thinks so. I'm glad Lakers Film Room agrees. I'd try to package in picks and our other kids. Julius, DLO and Ingram (and possibly Zu) need to stay.
The video was made by a poster on LG who is a fan of Randle and a funny dude. GT posted because he found the video humorous, I believe; it isn't made by him nor is it an endorsement from him to refrain from trading Randle if the right offer comes up from my understanding.
I believe LFM went on Twitter afterwards to say he's a huge Randle fan but I'm sure he'd make the move if it meant improving.
We'll have to see, but it seems the entire band of ex-Lakers (Magic/Luke/Worthy/Byron/Kobe) are very high on Julius and I would be genuinely surprised if they pull the trigger.
