This is what I see as well. Ball would be a great leader for this team and a terrific fit. I also agree that if we move any of the youngsters it probably will be Randle and Clarkson. Randle is a nice talent but a better fit would be a guy like Ibaka who plays D and can shoot. Clarkson seems to have plateaued. He's good but looks like a perennial bench guy. I also think that Ingram could be between Prince and Leonard. But we'll see.

Kawhi wasn't very aggressive either at the start of his career. Now he's clearly an alpha male on a championship contender. Point being it's too early to say Ingram can't be that type of a guy. Just because he isn't aggressive here early on doesn't mean he can't develop that later on in his career because a guy like Kawhi clearly has developed that as well.

Well coming from San Diego State not Kentucky, Duke, UCLA or Ohio State will do that to you. Kid knew he had to earn it first.

I don't think anyone is arguing he absolutely can't be Kawhi, just that it was clear he's not Durant. I pray he can be Kawhi. That's a hard path to follow, but I think he can do it. I'm pretty sure 95% of fans are still pretty reasonable in their expectations of Ingram and where he is now.

BI will need to be a 20 point scorer with DOPY candidacy on an annual bases to fulfill the second overall pick status. And more importantly, it is also imperative for the Lakers to get out of the hell hole they have been in. I've seen his defense so far, that is the most consistent part of his game this year. And that is a 19 year old rail. When he adds 20-30 pounds in the next 3 and 4 years, he will be a force on defense. 20 points a game? That is possible.

His mental game is what we are questioning. We will have to wait and see how that turns out.....

If he comes near to Kawhi, its a win, i would take Kawhi over KD every day, its just the perception-scorers are prominent. And the SAS culture and Pop make it difficult to shine. To be clear, KD will not be even in the top 20 of all time when he hangs it up, thats prety clear.

Honestly, I see no possible way Ingram adds 30 pounds without it being a giant belly at age 60. I even doubt 20. Realdeal could probably answer better as that's his field, but I think 10 pounds would be a lot for him.

His frame is decent actually. I think it's conceivable he could add a sustainable 10-15 pounds this summer (15 to start the year, 10 towards the end of it). I'm not sure I want him to add that much. It's more about functional strength for a kid with his long freaking levers. For him, I'd be doing 3 days of squats and deadlifts basically all summer. Build that core and butt strength, it's going to be vital for him.

For reference, Prince played at a listed weight of 212 pounds. Ingram is listed at 190 pounds. I would say over the next 2-3 years, Brandon can put on that sort of weight functionally, maybe more. The majority of his weight will be in his legs and butt and since those are rail thin right now, it's possible he can put on a pretty significant amount of weight within the confines of functionality. That's to say: he won't get big for no reason like Ben Simmons.

He just needs to add weight and more importantly strength to where he doesn't fly 10 feet after hitting someone or get pushed around on defense.

Just adding weight doesn't translate to better perimiter shooting and ft shooting

To be fair, he said strength was more important - and he's talking about not getting pushed around.

I'm actually of the view that he needs to add strength and get away from the NBA life for a couple of months, clear his skull, and work on his shot. He has all the tools to rip it up.

Very strong game. Just hit your FTs. We'll work on the threes next season. 14-6-3-2-1. Full line.

You heard Reggie. You don't work on your game during the season. Impossible.

You shoot till 1500 makes a day during the off-season.

...so how can a defender draw an offensive foul from the skinniest player (BI) on the floor? Ingram was even moving to his left to avoid full contact. Flopping at its finest. Nice throw down though.

Superstar in the making. Play maker along the lines of Magic. Not quite as good of course but no one else has been either. Cooper like on defense. Sounds like a superstar to me. He has talent and his aggressiveness is improving. Luke sees it in him.

This is his fourth game with over 40 minutes. They're really piling it on for the kid. I wish Randle and Russell had gotten that treatment a year ago.

I'm surprised he plays this many minutes. He seems to be pretty good right now except....

I can't deny my displeasure with his FT shooting....like WTF is wrong with you dude? Last 5 games he is hitting 38% FTs...that is not acceptable under any circumstances. If he is a 50% FT shooter, ship his weak arse out.

Laughable. I'm surprised how pro athletes can produce such a number without being ashamed of themselves.
