I like Love, but want no part of him if we have Randle. It just makes no sense to me to spend so much on a player in a position when we have another player that should be our future going forward.

I like him too. But he's gonna want (and get) max money. Max money has to go to MVP candidates....... or in our case, former MVP candidates. Love is neither. he'll be an all star for several years, but he's not who I want putting all my chips on for a title.

I think max money use to go to the MVP candidates, but times have changed and anyone that is at an All Star level thinks they deserve it, and the market backs that up.

I made the same argument on the other forum. I've felt that Kevin Love is a stat padder whose numbers don't lead to wins.

Love is a great talent. He scores well and rebounds well.

LeBron would do well to change his "versatile" game to involve his less versatile teammates.

Of course I'd take Love any day. I will always choose the proven star than the potential guy who has only played one game an actually injured himself. Thing is, going back to the economic side, that I won't even get Love's shoes for something like the rookie contract, while Randle is here for that cheap contract and for a few years. So, with that said, I'd rather bet on Randle for $3.000.000 than go for Love for $20.000.000. With some luck, we can get an All-Star from Randle, and if not, probably at least a serviceable player.

I do agree we need that type of good player that won't ask a max contract, and I also agree that Goran Dragic and Greg Monroe might fit the bill. And again, yes, I also agree in the part about Byron.

I think Durant is unlikely to come 2016, but if there is at least a chance, you simply go for it. Hopefully we do have that chance. There is a lot to be done by the Front Office. Won't be easy work, honestly. But they've done some crazy things in the past (hopefully we don't get basketball reasons, mental midgets or zombies).

Yup. He's saying that now, but I do believe him...he's not going anywhere.

Wasn't he saying similar stuff about Minnesota like weeks before he finally asked to be traded?

Yup. Agreed. They'll implode and flame out in the PO's; he'll get frustrated being labeled as the scapegoat and Kevin will come to L.A. Sign me up. I didn't believe this would happen; however, I do now. Come on down, Kevin.

Coach gets blamed first, then love, then Irving, then the other players, then the coaching staff, then Dan Gilbert, then the ball boy, then kobe, then the guy sitting in the fourth row... And maybe, just maybe, lebron gets some of the blame.

I can just picture the new Pepsi Max commercials. Lebron loses a pick up game and cusses out Uncle Drew and Wes for 5 minutes. They wont get Lebron in the special effects make up so they will just use Greg Oden without makeup to play Lebron.

I am torn between wanting Kevin Love ( or any star ) with the Lakers. He makes Pau look like Bill Russell. I know that is not his game, but I do not want to spend 20 million a year on Kevin Love when he is literally a third of the player Lamarcus Aldridge is ( I know we wont get him). Why strangle our cap just when Nash and Kobe are starting to leave when we could get two 10 million dollar players? Spend money but not just for the sake of it.

Sucks being on a good team where you can't pad your stats and your defense is actually looked at under a microscope as being terrible.

He should get some of the blame, not scapegoat level though, fans should have tempered their expectations on a guy that stat padded his way through Minnesota.

I don't know if Bosh is petty. I knew someone who met him and said he is a nice guy. But revisionist history will be building him up something massive if Love is lost in Cleveland and Kevin gets the blame gor the Cavs messing up.

He probably is entitled a few I told you so's after all the 2 1/2 superstar talk and Lebron/Wade only press conferences in Miami.

Kevin Love (back spasms) will not return for Cleveland. Atlanta up 3.

    3:31 PM - 31 Dec 2014

Kevin Love better get used to those back problems. In related news Lebron has already ordered a set of Ginzu excuse knives in case things go south this year. When Kevin came to Cleveland the King said he had the potential to be the (scape) Goat. Unfortunately Kevin does not hear parenthesis. I really forsee Kevin being stabbed in the back before the end of the year. That isn't your name on the your jersey Love it's a bullseye. Hopefully this mayhem can only help us at the trade table.

The Cavaliers have a star-heavy roster but are dangerously thin everywhere on the roster. Tristan Thompson and Shawn Marion would likely rotate in and out of the power forward role within games if Love has to miss any time.

Jordan Hill would be nice for them as they get into a harder portion of their schedule with Love missing out time will impact on their rebounding, scoring and lackluster defensive play.

In a bizarre twist of events, Kevin Love is actually leading the league in post up scoring efficiency among players with 4+ possessions per game:
