Honestly to me that's just preposterous. I would have booed that s*** if I were there. Old players talk about how the game has gotten soft and all the young players scoff and roll their eyes... What is this then?...
Unfortunately Embiid is on the way to the Sam Bowie, Greg Oden, Andrew Bynum route, a talented big man with chronic injuries. Unfortunately.
To be fair you would have had to see that Curry got dunked on by the Greek Freak minutes prior to this for trying to defend so on this play he said, I'm going to just lay down to be safe. I thought it great haha. Now I still say the level of defense was absolutely atrocious for even an all-star game but this given time and circumstance was great. I'd much rather have guys complete hard against each other and that would be a hell of a luck more entertaining. But these generations just want fun all the time.
Noah out for the year and having surgery on his knee again. And that contract the Knicks signed him too...
The Toronto Raptors announced that All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry will undergo right wrist surgery, but hope to have him back for the playoffs. The team said the surgery to remove loose bodies from Lowry's wrist will take place Tuesday. A source told ESPN's Brian Windhorst that Lowry is expected to be out 4 to 6 weeks.
I understand not putting your body on the line for a defensive play you wont make in an exhibition game... I don't understand literally laying on the floor. That to me was just plain stupid.
That was just Curry "clowning" during the game. To be honest, I've played in backyard games and at the gym that are more competitive.
that emiid stuff...not to be taken lightly. i've been quietly concerned about russell's knees this year, but embiid's overall leg problems terrify me.
Russell has sat out multiple games because of it. I am wondering if he rushed back too soon after the last one. He was playing well before it and hasn't been the same since.
http://www.si.com/nba/2017/02/27/philadelphia-76ers-joel-embiid-mri-knee Zu's legs seem like tree trunks and solid fortunately. Doubtful and unfortunate for Joel going forward. He's making Bynum's first year or two seem like he was an iron man.
Fun to me is watching 10 of the baddest basketball players on the planet go at each other to see which player is better. It's not watching layup lines and guys laying down on the floor. But I guess that makes me sound like a crotchety old man who wants sports to feel competitive again.
