The team made it clear Ryan West would be very involved. Other teams have taken notice of him so it's really incumbent on the Lakers to keep him interested and moving around in the FO. There's an interesting dynamic between West and Jesse Buss developing as the two of them are the likely future of our GM/President of Basketball Operations.
As competitive Johnson is and being a great player in his day, it would be tough for him to understand why others can't do what came easy for him. These statements from him is great to hear.
Starts at 2 minute mark. Great interview, Luke is always so chill. Covers a lot of stories and stuff.
At this pt im wondering if luke is either not teaching them anything new or he's not getting to these guys
We don't have a superstar to bail us out when we screw up like Kobe did in 2004-2007. It's going to take awhile.
None of them are qualified to lead on a daily basis at this level yet That makes it painful to watch this basketball team
Exactly. About half of our losss we lose in the 4th quarter when the other team buckles down and starts to execute and their star player takes over offensively, while our guys are too inexperienced (and poor defensively) to find another gear with no go to scorer. Luke is doing his job. I see the improvements, but we have to get a scorer that can carry us in the 4th.
Agree we need a superstar. No one on our team demands a double team. A superstar does. It'll give our guys room to operate. And Ball will find them.
