    LBJJ = Prince James.

If this hasn't been said before, I expect some form of hefty check sent to me for Xmas.

Kid is going to be good. I like that he's already really good with either hand and he just like his dad in that he likes/can get others involved.

He's back to trying to teach them a lesson, obviously.

Nothing would make me happier than for LeBron's game to continue to slowly decline and for him never to win another title. He's still great obviously, but statistically by his standards he's having his worst season in years, in some categories since his rookie year. I'd love for this not to be a lesson being taught, and for the Cavs really to be not that good, and LeBron really starting to show slight signs of age.

Nothing would be more fun than for the guy that's been declared a sure thing to end up with a better career than Jordan (or who somehow would magically be better even with less rings according to some), to start to fall off and be passed up by other young stars after less than a decade of this level of play, when Kobe sustained it for so much longer. Is that sort of evil? Yeah. I'm I hating? Hell yeah. The media wouldn't know what to do if the guy they anointed as the greatest ever after he won 1 ring suddenly showed his peak was over.

Part of me would love for that to happen. If we somehow moved this season towards the Davis/Lillard/Durant/... Harden... era. I'd love that.

LeBron's athleticism is certainly not what it was. I don't care how "tired" he is after four straight Finals, he looks different. He looks like he's off steroids and he's lost a step, lost some strength, lost some speed, and definitely lost some power. I'd love for his "era" to be over already. Four straight Finals appearances, but only two wins. The Greatest Robin of All-Time.

I suppose Lebron is too busy making his teammates better to make his coaches better.

He definitely looks to be off the MVP steroids he was on before.

LeBron James when asked if David Blatt is the "right" coach for the Cavs: "Yeah, I mean, he’s our coach, what other coach do we have?"

^ That was on the Lakersball.com twitter feed. Way to back up your coach Lebron, Maybe Mike Brown is warming up his CV for a third run at Cleveland.

No, I must hold onto it because life is so short. I've only got so long to hate on LeBron in this life, and to hate on the media for their bias.

Monday was not a fun day for the Cavaliers as they met the media following an embarrassing 23-point home loss to the dismal Detroit Pistons.

There was a report of a rift between management and head coach David Blatt, and a concern over whether or not he was reaching his players just 30 games into the season.

There was LeBron James, not exactly sounding super-convincing in coming to his coach’s defense.

Now, a report has emerged stating what was essentially unthinkable before the season began — that James would actually consider bolting Cleveland after just one year if things don’t work out as he envisioned.

    From Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com:

'James, who turns 30 today, has no intention of compromising his prime years playing for a sputtering organization. He can opt out of his contract at the end of the season and become a free agent.

Given the massive scrutiny he would endure if he departed Cleveland a second time, if his hand is forced, I’m told he won’t hesitate to make the appropriate business decision if it means bolting.'

Of course, anything is possible. But logic would dictate that, to put it mildly, this is complete and utter nonsense.

James signed his two-year contract in Cleveland, which comes with it the ability to opt-out after this season, purely for financial reasons. The salary cap will skyrocket following the 2016 season thanks to the league’s shiny new broadcast rights deal, and if James had been locked into a long-term deal with the Cavaliers, his earning potential would have been limited significantly.

There’s little incentive for James to leave to play anywhere else. He has more power within the Cavaliers organization than he’d have with another franchise, and can use that to influence a head coaching hire if in fact Blatt is ultimately unable to get the most out of this season’s roster — one which had flaws from the jump, but is now more precarious than ever with Anderson Varejao lost for the season due to injury.

Kevin Love can bolt, too, and him leaving seems at least a little bit more likely, especially if he ends up being scapegoated as a key reason for a disappointing season.

But the reality is that it’s far too early to be talking about any of this.

There are problems with the Cavaliers, certainly. The effort and energy on the defensive end of the floor have been inconsistent at best, and James himself admitted to being in “chill mode” to start a recent win over the Magic. Despite it all, Cleveland has a record of 18-12 — not as good as expected, but just fine in the East, and only five-and-a-half games out of the Conference’s top spot.

If James chose Cleveland this past summer purely for basketball reasons, then it would be realistic to see him choosing to leave should this current season result in disaster. But remember what he wrote in the letter that was published explaining the move once it was finalized.

“But this is not about the roster or the organization. I feel my calling here goes above basketball. I have a responsibility to lead, in more ways than one, and I take that very seriously. My presence can make a difference in Miami, but I think it can mean more where I’m from. I want kids in Northeast Ohio, like the hundreds of Akron third-graders I sponsor through my foundation, to realize that there’s no better place to grow up. Maybe some of them will come home after college and start a family or open a business. That would make me smile. Our community, which has struggled so much, needs all the talent it can get.”

The fact that LeBron leaned so heavily on the homecoming angle when he made his return to Cleveland makes the notion of leaving now, after just one potentially difficult season, virtually impossible to envision.

Poor Lebron. If this homecoming situation becomes a catastrophe not even google will want to be his friend.

I've never seen a basketball player covered like this, not even MJ himself. It's LeBron's birthday so let's celebrate him all day on ESPN, "King James turns 30", you'd think they think he's an actual king. Let's throw up a graphic showing he has more points before 30 than Kobe.

LeBron is sitting out a game on a Tuesday in December, "Breaking News!". But hey, let's throw up a graphic showing how he's played more minutes before 30 than KG and Kobe did as an unnecessary excuse for sitting a game.

There was never, NEVER a point in Kobe's career where it was breaking news if he sat out a game for being sore on a Tuesday in December. Don't remember it for Shaq or anyone else either, because it isn't news. It's December. They play 82 games plus playoffs, things get sore, so he's sitting. He sat with a sore finger before, who gives a f***.

This guy is not THE show in basketball, the league doesn't hinge on him being out there. Personally I'd rather watch Curry, Lillard, Westbrook, Davis, and quite a few others at the moment. I just don't get why they have a personal stake in the guy, why his career is followed so closely over others. Who at ESPN does it benefit if LeBron gets to 6 or 7 rings?

And this is where I hope the N.B.A may start to turn the corner. It is a good strategy to go all in to make a player the face of a sport. It worked well with Jordan and Lebron was the first player to receive such apotheosis through media since the real 23.

Once Lebron declines, I think his media decline may be satisfyingly quick. The talent you mentioned is the best kept secret to the casual fans (who think Lebron is Space Jam Jordan incarnate). The N.B.A may start pushing the talent and find creating several stars is a viable option to building a superteam that half of the fans love and half of the fans hate. It may be hard to get casual fans to appreciate the play of the Spurs or the ruggedness of the Grizzlies, I hope they can look broader.

Creating Lebron as a Superstar (think Michael Jackson hyping himself as the King of Pop) may be an easier way to build a global brand, but is it a better and longer term approach, when he is just one scandal or injury away from making the N.B.A marketing strategy null and void?

His game is still based on athleticism. He's smart, but he's not as explosive as he was. He's strong, but he's not as fast as he was. All those miles that ESPN is so excited about telling us about have really killed this guy's late career. His "Player Prime" is right now, but that window is closing fast. Without his PEDs and his explosion, his career is going to wind down more quietly than Duncan's or even Kobe's.

His "Let's watch LeBron's Top 30 plays at 30" was all over my twitter feed last night and it disgusted me. This guy will go down as a footnote in the League as we passed from the Kobe/Duncan era into the Davis/Durant era.

Five Finals appearances and only two rings. He's not even out of Larry Bird's shadow let alone Kobe, Jordan, or Magic.
