Maybe he believes with Magic on board now Paul believes he convince another star or so to join him in Los Angeles.
I just don't see it, less years, less money, not in contention with the Warriors around. But hey, if he wants to be the guy to take the plunge, carry the burden of bringing us back to respectability, I'm all for that, I'd respect him even more.
I mean... isn't that what we've been begging for? The guy who wanted to raise the flag here as the next great Laker? We've just gotten burned basically every year since Dwight wussed out... Hard to get my hopes up again.
Iggy, Curry and Durant are free agents this summer. How many can they keep and isn't the window starting to close. Depth has been lost from last year and will close even more.
If these reports are actually true and PG is really hell bent on coming here, we could be in a situation where we could get him this offseason for "cheap" if he forces the Pacers hand. You can get something for me if you trade me to the Lakers or I'll just walk and you get nothing. I'd still be willing to dump JC/Nance/1st if he forces a trade here.
We better have moved some of our kids for vets in his age range if we want to convince George to come here.
Wow that's asking for a lot. If he's still available in the summer, and he doubles down on wanting to come here, we'd have better leverage. That pick is ever so important now though.
I think Lakers and Indiana stand pat and wait another year. Bringing PG out here now could improve team enough to lose the draft pick. Why do that when we could get him as a FA or a sign and trade?
