I wish it was based on Ingram playing great. Really, it's because Deng has been that bad.

Hope Brandon takes advantage of the opportunity.

If anything, it will accelerate Ingram's growth with experience. It really is in his best interest. Unfortunately, Ingram can't add more muscle overnight.

Probably partially true, but its really because Luke thinks Brandon is ready for more. More what? I'm not sure but minutes might be it.

Luol Deng will indeed be replaced by Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram today. Walton's plan for Ingram was to back up Deng until ready for more.

Solid game from BI. And he knocked down his FT's finally when it was hack-a-Brandon time. Love having him in the starting lineup. And Deng was actually decent off the bench where he belongs.

Every time Ingram knocks down a shot, I'm shocked (lol) considering he lays more bricks per day than your average construction worker.

    Solid game.

i really think that's been deng's problem. he was fat and out of shape when the season started, and he's had trouble playing his way there. let's hope he's in better condition next year, because we're stuck with him. i know the board's favorite whipping boy is mozgov, but deng might be the league's worst contract right now.

^abeer I do not agree. I think Deng has leadership qualities and is a rather vocal locker room personality. Mozgov is not. Deng is EASILY worth 2 mio. more than Mozgov.

The problem is each makes 10 mio. too much.

This is absolutely 100% accurate. Deng's contract is both too high and too long. He's not even a market value product like Mozgov was and he's been objectively worse than Mozgov this year. Even last night I thought Deng looked heavy and we're more than half way done with this season.

Deng never struck me as the guy to get paid and get fat, but... I mean.

There's coming a day when you'll be shocked when Ingram misses a shot.

Very efficient and solid game from Ingram, although I wasn't happy with his D but neither was I happy with anyones D.

i only saw the first half (mercifully), but ingram was indeed getting torched on defense. they were just iso-ing and blowing by him for buckets at the rim.

    Last 17 games: 10.1 points, 2.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 41% FGs, 40% 3pts, 65% FTs. Not bad.

    Last 3 games: 14.3 points, 2.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 52% FGs, 54% 3pts, 57% FTs. Pretty nice.

Ingram fell into a slump, failing to shoot 50% FGs in 19 of 21 games from November to the beginning of January, he has done it in 8 of his last 18.

    Rookie Ranks:
    1st in minutes
    3rd in FTs
    4th in rebounds
    4th in blocks
    5th in points
    6th in assists
    8th in threes
