Barkley needs to zip it. LeBron, by any measure, has had the better career.

I feel so dirty defending LeBron.

I think now is not the time for dissension. We need to unite when somebody is in need.

I think the NBA should have a day or maybe a week where everybody wears special pins and promotes the message about Lebron's need of superstar team mates. The pin would be of a yellow Goat. Because that is Lebron the GOAT man, the cloven hoofed GOAT.

Where is NBA cares, where you see James Harden tearing up his contract to work with Lebron for free. Jerry Lewis needs to stop being so selfish with those MS kids, and support a champ in need. I mean Lebron is only a millionaire, maybe a fraction of a billionaire. He can only do so much.

Maybe in support of him the superstars of the league could refuse to score against or defend him. I think that would show that it really all is Lebron. When history books are written this will be more important than taking a knee during the national anthem.

Do they not know how unhappy Lebron will be if he loses!

I think as humans we have to stop thinking about ourselves so much, and start thinking about Lebron!
    Yes Lebron!
Because you know who thinks about Lebron the most? Lebron does!
And that is why he is better than each and every one of you ordinary schmucks going about your life with your debts and jobs and ill spouses.
How can we learn from Lebron.

I tell's ya it is like a Dr Seuss book that was never written.

I do remember Barkley citing James for not being an off the court distraction and keeping a clean image for The League. He also forgot to mention how Barkley was charged with DUI looking for a Phoenix prostitute that he felt gave good "service"...

agreed. Of all the things Lebron said about Barkley what does all that have to do with you complaining about not having enough talent. Let's stay on topic Lebron

All that is true but it doesn't mean he gets to ask for more help with the team he already has without getting some criticism for it.

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...s-lebron-james-barbs-says-continue-speak-mind

A day after LeBron James called him a "hater" and dug up some of his personal history, TNT analyst Charles Barkley says he stands by his criticism of the Cleveland Cavaliers' star player.

"I stick by what I said, I'm not going to make this personal ... he was all whiny last week," Barkley said on the Waddle & Silvy show on ESPN Radio on Tuesday. "... I'm good and I'm straightforward, I'm never going to get personal on an NBA player."

ESPN CHICAGO AUDIO: Charles Barkley has 'no problem' with LeBron's comments[/paste:font]
    Waddle & Silvy

Last week, Barkley said James was being "whiny" for publicly stating the Cavs need to bring in another playmaker.

"Inappropriate. Whiny. All of the above," Barkley said of James then. "The Cleveland Cavaliers, they have given him everything he wanted. They have the highest payroll in NBA history. He wanted J.R. Smith last summer, they paid him. He wanted [Iman] Shumpert last summer. They brought in Kyle Korver. He's (LeBron) the best player in the world. Does he want all of the good players? He don't want to compete? He is an amazing player. They're the defending champs."

James, clearly irked by Barkley's comments, told ESPN's Dave McMenamin on Monday night that he won't let Barkley "disrespect my legacy like that," and took some personal shots at the Hall of Famer.

"I'm not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas," James told ESPN on Monday. "I never said, 'I'm not a role model.' I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying."

TNT analyst Charles Barkley laughed off LeBron James' rant directed at the Hall of Famer. Gary Dineen/NBAE via Getty Images
When asked Tuesday if he felt James crossed the line, Barkley said it was a case of shooting the messenger and that he had no issues with James' remarks.

"I was laughing, clearly he did some homework ... he Googled me and found some things," Barkley said. "He was young when I was playing, so I appreciate that, but I'm not upset about it ... my criticism was fair and I'm good with that."

Despite drawing the ire of one of the biggest names in the sport, Barkley said he doesn't plan to rein in his opinions.

"Some of the stuff he said about me is correct -- doesn't make the message I said about him incorrect," Barkley said. "Some of them are intimidated about LeBron [but] I'm not intimidated at all."

I agree with his stance that just because those things are true about him, his job as an announcer is to call it like he sees it. He was correct in his assessments, and the Kang didn't like it. I like that Barkley didn't back off his statements, and laughed off the rest. Obviously he is still successful despite his youthful indiscretions or past actions. If it requires a superior player in the history of the NBA to chide Lebron, there aren't a whole lot of people allowed to speak their mind? Please. That's not how it works LeBaby.

I also like that Thompson stood up and basically said he disagreed with Lebron, and that they all just need to play better. Lewhiner doesn't like to be called out, and I'm glad he attempted this on Charles. Your new sheriff in town line.....

How full of himself is this guy?

Barkley is one of those guys who can say whatever he wants and people brush it off as "Charles being Charles." Oh, you brought up the fact I spit on a kid. HA HA. must've Googled me. Haha. But yeah, I meant what I said.

I hope I live long enough to finally decide who I hate more: Bron or Kanye?

I might gonna bring this up, didn't Lebaby essentially fire David Blatt too? If im not mistaken they have a similar record now to when they fired him.

When Barkley takes the high road, you have probably lost your argument. The thing is in all this, LeBron didn't need to engage with Barkley. That he got so mad and let it stew to the point that he went home and googled Chuck and got all this personal dirt on him, then summoned his personal ESPN lap dog..er, reporter, is hilarious. Nobody even remembered Chuck said these things until LeBron brought it back up. Did any of you? I didn't.

LeBron is the best player in the world, he's sitting on 6 Finals trips in a row, why the hell would you bother with a gnat like Barkley saying something like this when he gets paid to sit and say things like this? LeBron is so incredibly, and needlessly insecure. His team is 7-8 in January and it's like he's coming unglued. It's January. His team are the defending champs, the FO signed everyone he wanted in the offseason and are clearly trying to make moves to improve now. Never seen a guy this good this insecure, and all it is now is food for the narrative when he's back in the Finals again in June. Dude has 7 Finals trips, 3 rings, MVPs, gold medals, is on his way to being a billionaire, whines about Charles Barkley calling him whiny. I'll never understand it. If I were in his position and someone asked me about Barkley I'd be like, "who?".

Yes, he did. In addition to everything else, his FO even fired the coach he didn't like and hired the guy he wanted. Sadly, he doesn't have that option to turn to this time, so I guess he's had to find other excuses and outlets for his frustration over losing a few games. Big picture? LeBron isn't concerned with your big picture, he wants to win in January!

Barkley said, "LeBron can get personal if he wants, but I never had a teammate sleep with my mom."

Okay, he didn't say that, but he wanted to.
