If this guy played with Nance's effort level, he would be an all-star...

His laziness is the biggest issue but he has plenty other issues like a right hand, defensive awareness, a jumpshot, hoop iq etc.

For a three year vet, that's a red flag for me.

I think all of our new young players need to be tested for ADD or ADHD. I know firsthand how it can affect the food you eat and what time I go shopping later. I can only imagine what it does to defensive concentration and parakeets in the pet shop. And pizza. Mmmm

And just how is Mexico going to pay for that wall?

Randle - normally, I would criticize you after the performance you gave yesterday; nevertheless, team tank wants to give you a special 'thank you' for your awful performance in the 4th quarter.

Agreed, Randle, as well as DAR, have massive issues with entitlement, lazyness, and a bizarre inability to concentrate. The other flaws are fixable.

I wouldn't characterize Randle as lazy, but entitled is a good word. I'd also say he's not the smartest player.

I didn't see laziness on that defensive possession when McCollum hit the three, I saw a lack of awareness which is more concerning. He seems to think he can close out to shooters effectively even though he's been proven unable to do so. He does however have the quickness to move his feet at a high level as a big man. Part of his defensive issues are coaching, but part of it is his stubbornness and unwillingness to learn.

Having someone like Larry Nance Jr. around will only make Randle better. Not having someone around to challenge him for minutes is something he can't afford because he's not self-motivated enough to improve without it. It's the same reason he needs Luke to be a task-master with him.

If you are not self motivated enough as you say and I agree, you ain't going to be a star in this league, period.

That IS a red flag and its not fixable. You either have it or you don't.

The laziness is definitely a major red flag. I'm concerned that he'll have a monster year next season because it's a contract year and once he gets paid, he'll lose a lot of motivation.

I think there's ways when it can work. Having the right coach (Popovich or Riley honestly) would do wonders for Randle. He needs to be constantly and consistently challenged otherwise he lapses in concentration. Luke talked about it earlier this year. You're right, that can wear on teachers and coaches and it's not ideal. Certainly after watching guys like Magic and Kobe having a kid (really two because D'Angelo is similar) is a stark contrast.

Unfortunately, I think most professional athletes are the same way. Very few consistently push themselves forward without force. Hello Ingram and Zubac.

Means Nance, Zubac, or Black get more minutes and they have been producing for us so I'm fine if he rests.

Illness? He has a sore throat or cold? I thought Kobe was his freaking idol? Jordan and Kobe would both laugh at him. Or not. Obviously nothing of consequence on the line for the Lakers in this game or any game these days. May not be his call anyway.

Depends on what the sickness is. If it's food poisoning, then he's probably better off sitting on the john in the locker room than playing on the court.

I've lived a charmed life. Never had a broken bone. Because I'm such a nice guy :Fishwink: ... never been punched in the face and ....euuwww .... never had food poisoning. :p :p

Did pop a biceps tendon once though. Not everyone has OX's arms.

Spending too much time with old man Luol, he may have gotten a historic disease like small pox, bubonic plague, dementia or even disco fever.

Conceivably Dung may have given him a fecal related infection, or if Danny Ferry is right Ebola may even be possble
