    LOL :D
It will take A LOT for me to turn against Luke. He's immune to hate till at least 2018-19 season ;-).

Luke will turn it around. More just a joke about fan impatience.

Like I know anything. I would have been tempted to hire George Karl lol

I am so glad we didn't hire George Karl. Anytime he was brought up here I was hoping like hell he wasn't on our list, hell I'd have rather kept B0ron than pay Karl and B0ron at the same time. He has been a Laker hater his whole career and he's an overrated coach. Plus now he's trashing ex players in his book so man I'm glad we didn't go that route, would have been our 4th disaster hire in a row.

I thought Luke did a nice job of lighting a fire under our guys' behinds during half time. They came out in the third quarter like they should have in the first - aggressive D, moving the ball on offense . . . it was night and day difference. Hearing his presser afterward he called their transition D in the first half atrocious and I know he got after them. Good call and nice response from his players.

Luke's definitely still doing a good job in my eyes. He inherited a team that is young with all kinds of emotional and chemistry issues. They've learned a lot of bad habits and we lack a winning culture / healthy atmosphere from the top of the organization down right now. If the injuries don't happen I give us at least 3 more wins right now. I still see us landing between 30 and 35 which is a huge improvement.

Luke has room to grow as a coach but you can already see what he can do with this group of guys. I'm all aboard and still very happy with the hire.

If Luke doubles the win total to 34, he should be coach of the year. He won't be because the idiots who vote for these awards couldnt tell you who's good if it fell on their heads.

Via Rotoworld: Luke Walton said one issue currently facing his young Lakers team is that some guys "are not ready to pass."

Shoot from the hip .... me ..... who's he talking about??? And is this a Phil esque more subtle .....no names called out in the press ..... type of tweak? Boron doesn't count with his call outs. He was just in need of "AA" .....

DAR? No he just thinks he's ESPN Sports Science passing guy .... with too many mustard's off the hot dog type passes.
    Jordan? Maybe?
Julius? I don't think so. For a 6'9" beast he passes the ball fairly well.
Huertas? No, most all of what he can do.
Nance? No, he passes maybe too much.
Lou? No. Not from what I've seen.
    Jose? No.
Moz? No he's not like that.
Tarik? No he's not like that.
Zu? No he's not like that.
Brandon? No he's not like that.
Luol? No he's not like that.

Who's he talking about that you would hope and expect to pass the ball more / better??

JC, Nick, and Lou would be my thoughts.

I don't see Nick or Lou at all. They both make needed passes while balancing the fact they are the two best players left on the Lakers post Kobe who can create their own shots and produce offense when we desperately need that to be done. You don't just replace a scoring superstar you can count on like Kobe Bryant. They are the best of what we have left this year and actually have done a pretty damn good job. Both of them. Consistently when not hurt.

I cannot agree. In my view, Lou destroys the offensive flow. Have been watching this team lately. He's bad news for us. A terrible defender and a me-first player all the way.

You're not watching the same guy I've been watching all season. Actually you haven't watched enough games to even go there, no offense intended ... "Raider Fan" this year? Lou's been amazing.

Edit .... past couple games if you're going on, there's been few forced shots trying to draw fouls. He's been uber effective at it all season and many have gone in while doing that effortlessly, not like Harden or a flopper. Some the last couple games only have looked forced or selfish. Not how he's played at all this season.

Note that Luke wasn't making this complaint earlier. This suggests that it's a recent thing. I don't think you - or anyone - can deny that Lou has been an out of control gunner the past few games. Thus, whether I watched the games early in the season or not is irrelevant. Right?

In his last 8 games, he's shooting 37% from the floor, 25% from three, and 86% from the line. He's shooting 12.1 times per 25.1 minutes. That's a lot. In fact, his USG% is 30.2. That's the 9th highest in the NBA. Is Lou within 100 miles of the 9th best player in the NBA? When he was hitting his shots, some of you were fine with that - but some of us weren't. We knew it was unsustainable, and it's now a clear detriment to the team.

Tarik Black and Larry Nance got hurt and changed the whole complexion of what he has been trying to do to win games and play within the offense. In case you forget we've been losing 10 out of 11. Lou has been playing better than Jamal Crawford as 6th man of the year candidate very effectively and clutch as hell prior to the effectiveness of our 2nd unit getting seriously compromised by injuries. Nick was out of the 1st part of all those recent games you're alluding too as well. Lou has been the Bomb this year.

Edit. Then again maybe you're right and it is a subtle tweak from Luke for those healthy to look at their "recent" games and how they may have gotten off course.

I'm just wondering who else it could be if not JC and some other wing. Crawford looked old, by the way, against the Lakers. Damn.

Cool. Now, correct the freaking problem, Luke; and if it requires any necessary personnel changes, Mitch, I expect you to do your job and make those changes.

Yes that was my first shoot from the hip thought. JC maybe, as there's times he definitely tries to go it alone to create a shot beyond the level he's capable of and becomes a ball stopper and the offensive flow suffers. Last 8-10 games .... maybe Lou too, but I think understandable due to what's happened with injuries and the established flow of the 2nd unit and all of the losing everyone wants to stop.

JC is the worst by far .

He decided to stop passing the ball this season for some reasons .

Luke said loss was on him. Russell tried to be a hero to make up for his bad shooting night. We shoulda drove to go for two, I woulda went with Julius who the jazz had trouble with in the paint. They prepared for a 3 pts shot to go Lou.

Part of the process, if this team isn't pissed off losing like this for the hundredth time this year.. I don't know what will.

If our record stinks by trade deadline and we're like 6+ games out of it, I unload Deng and Moz if I got a trade partner. Go full youth. Full small ball.

Good listens - right after the game Luke saying the loss/last play call disaster was on him

A day after when Luke watched the game and digested what he saw - a lot of good stuff
