You'd like to think veterans with as many years of experience that he has could flow between systems easily. but unfortunately that isn't the case.

still think he came in way out of shape. i'd allow that he might be used to getting shots in different spots, etc., and it does seem to take 20 games to get a sense of a new system. but still, we were seeing him miss open shots short over and over again with a really flat shot trajectory. that's dead legs. this happens to vet wing players early in seasons (at least i feel like it--i used to call it the stackhouse syndrome). lots of little nagging muscle strains and such that limit effectiveness but not necessarily availability.

Hope he continues to play well so Thibs can get his guy. Wolves have a couple of contracts they can unload for Deng. Those contracts would be great for the Lakers if they are players who's contracts run out in 2018. Ingram will need to start soon, it isnt just a money and future money thing. Brandon plays better as a starter and I think he needs to be one now, no later than by the end of this month.

    Season: 8/5/1.5 on 39-33-66% shooting
    Last 12: 9-6-1.5 on 46-38-(but 42% FTs) + 1.9 steals

Only thing I'd like to see from him is more consistent FTs. He's doing a nice job for us after a slow start.

Deng is finally looking like the player I expected we would be getting when he was signed.

Really nice game tonight with a double double and a lot of clutch plays

He was pretty terrible in the first quarter but he turned it around and had himself a very nice overall game.

Love to turn out wrong here but I can't see how Deng's play will ever be worth 4 years @ 72 mil or say 3 years at 54 mil if we traded during summer '17 unless Thib's love for Deng is blind (and I hope it is). Thib's does know how to play him. I'm not sure which contracts they'd give up either, obviously not KAT, Wigs, Dunn, Lavine.

Well, I hate to see Larry gone for a month, Deng at the 4 becomes a viable option and puts him at his best position. He's been playing well, too. Well, he doesn't add some of the things that Larry does that makes Larry and our team unique, he is a better 3-point shooter, and spaces the floor which helps our offense.

Thank you. Without Deng we lose yesterday... that's pretty big. He's had a solid month starting in early December. Rest of the league is getting a bit tired as he's finding his legs/conditioning. Also gotta remember he's played in the east his whole career. I think he's getting more and more familiar with our system and the western conference.

The thing is Deng is a PF and he is now finally playing a little more PF with Nance down, so he looks better.

Deng at SF is a desaster and will continue to be a desaster. He is a PF at this stage of his career, plain and simple.

I'm not sure if that's true because he's looking good playing next to Randle and Mozgov. It's more of a conditioning thIng I think. He looks a lot more mobile lately. This version of Deng is quick enough to guard SF's.
