Great game from Randle. Easily one of his best games yet as a Laker. Liked those three steals tonight, too.
Russell can talk about Randle like that if he wants, but the same and more applies to him. We'd be an instantly better team if Russell learned to take care of the ball. One of the most frustrating parts of this team is the correctable errors that never seem to be corrected.
The turnovers down the stretch particularly were really bad. As Stu said, it looked like we were trying to give the game away. Not that Julius didn't have a lot of turnovers, too despite a great overall game (5 in fact), but Russell's down the stretch were a big deal. He needs to take care of that ball.
randle actually had a really uneven game last night, imo. the stat line looked pretty good, but it wasn't one of his best games this year. really liked him being aggressive defensively on the perimeter. moar plz.
It was his best scoring game for sure 10 of 13 and 25 points and he was aggressive on both ends. I just thought he had a few too many turnovers. 3 steals was nice.
don't know what the stats say (lazy), but his midrange shot looks much better to me so far this year.
This is the kind of Randle we need. He needs to be aggressive, focused and in control and from the start. We started the game really well offensively and didn't dig our self a hole early.
Frustrating game tonight from Randle. On the one hand, much of it was the worst I've seen him play all season. Then to his credit after Nance went down he really came alive. The 5 blocks were a revelation and it was the finest defensive stretch I've seen from him since the Chicago game. Unfortunately he could not buy a bucket for the most part and missed so many chippies. Not sure what was up with that. And then near the very end Kemba Walker got a rebound that Randle really should have controlled and afterward he was holding his neck a bit and just watched as Batum scored the go ahead bucket on his guy without Randle rotating over to help. Props for the blocks. But many head scratching moments. I guess it's growing pains, but it's tough to watch. I hope Luke talks heart to heart with him and tries to get him to defend more like he did when he spearheaded our comeback in the third. I mean that's the kind of play that just completely lifts a team as we saw in that stretch. He CAN do that. He needs to do it more!
