The thing that is most impressive to me and something I was caught off guard was the MPG of the benches. I was sure that one of the main reasons why we had the most bench point per game was because our bench plays more than other teams. Well, looking at that table in the link it appears this isn't the case. PHI and other teams are real close to that number as well. Our bench only plays 23.4 minutes per game, I almost still don't believe.

Luke can coach, huh? How does it feel to have a star coach in the making? Damn, it feels good!

great coaches are so valuable, imo. and we've seen how destructive really bad ones can be around here, too.

having a great coach is like having an allstar player in terms of impact, i think.

We finally got it right. Even the most negative Laker bashers are giving us our due.

Our most important signing this offseason. Still kind of a coup, really. Luke could have stayed one more year with the staff of GS, the prohibitive favorite for a championship with the addition of Durant. So glad he jumped at the chance to coach the Lakers. So important for now and for our future. We've got one of our own here who can grow as his young team grows. The perfect fit.

The FO deserves massive props for this. If we can make ourselves attract enough this offseason to pull a really good FA then watch out. Fair's fair, I bashed the hell out of Jim for the previous three hires but he got it absolutely right this time. Thank goodness.

I also think one of his greatest benefits is still yet to be seen. Players around the league see what he is doing and when it comes time to recruit during Free Agency I really like our chances.

And in spite of 23 f****** turnovers. Are you kidding we won that game against the Chicago Bulls' rebounding juggler's knot squad, on the road with them on 4 days rest and us back to back .......with no DAR and no Swaggy P ....... our intrepid all for one - one for all dynamic duo this year? ;)

The unrestricted market is loaded in 2017.

    Curry is obviously a stretch.

But Livingston, Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague, George Hill, JJ Reddick, Patrick Mills are ALL players that would be a great fit for us and shore up our backup 1/2 needs. Imagine one of them coming off the bench instead of Calderon/Huertas?

Looking at it by rank, it's real easy to see where our bench could clean up things and be even more dominant. The turnovers are pretty bad. Granted they come come out high-energy and flying but if they could even get that stat down to average.....love to see what would happen. The other hurting stat is blocks but we aren't long with the exception of BI who will get better at what he does. Outside of those 2 stats, they are just dominant.

These things are going to happen with 4 games in 5 nights on the road, a very young team, and injuries to 2 of our best players in Russ and Young. I still can't believe we even won that Bulls game. With a team like this, after a season like our last one, you take the little victories. That's why I'm amazed we're even hovering around .500, with what Luke has done, because this is not a playoff team, and it's not a team that should be able to withstand any key injuries. A lot has to go right for us to have a good season, yet so far Luke has held this thing together even through beat downs like the GS game and now this Toronto game. I expect us to play much better tonight though I don't expect a win.
