I don't have a problem with Clarkson having a terrible shooting night. Shots come and go. What I do have a problem with is if a player cannot impact the game without his shot falling and tonight I felt Clarkson didn't do anything particularly well to contribute. I understand shots affect young players but it can't be live and die by the scoring.
Growing pains. Worst night I've seen from JC ever but I don't expect it to happen again. Like KB24 said, sometimes shooters will have terrible nights like last night, but you have to learn to keep your head up and then make twice as much effort on D to make up for it. He didn't do that last night, but knowing his drive I think he will next time.
Excellent game from JC tonight. 18 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 TO, 4 steals, 1 PF in 26 minutes Filled the statsheet tonight.
he continuously has made me happy I was able to snag him late in my fantasy draft...after all those offseason training vids we saw during the summer, the hard work just had to pay off. keep it up Jordan!
like the 1 TO. westbrook was REALLY trying to harass him into those. don't like what's happened to his three point shot after what looked like progress this summer.
I agree with you about his 3 pt shooting...he looked like the next curry (exaggerating of course) in those offseason vids. Im still hoping he can turn it around though. If nothing else, we know he has the potential to nail the 3
Nailing a 3 in practice is different from game time. It's about confidence. I'm positive once he has more confidence in his 3 during game time he'll excel
Killer bounce back game from Clarkson last night!! I knew he was mad himself for that rare clunker and would step it up.
Don't do that ever again lol... with that being said I hope you tweeted him again saying this is how you wanted to motivate him for the next game;d!ck
Well, I'd probably like your tweet too if I were Clarkson. He's got a guaranteed 50 million reasons to laugh at any fan that tries trolling him. I know myself well enough that if I were an athlete of his caliber, I'd probably have retweeted that. Granted, I am very self deprecating.
Clarkson and Boom Boom for KD? They need solid big men and JC is smokin' KD on isolation #s. He is persistent ..isn't he in always figuring ways to get to the rack ...or near the rack for dat floater.
good company. that's his value and why he'll be a good bench player for many year, at minimum. he creates decent looks for himself, often near the bucket. young and lou are both good at getting shots, but they tend to be higher degree of difficulty shots. still, getting up a bad shot beats turning it over or moving the ball for a worse shot from a less effective offensive player. #getoutofmyheadkobe actually, i'm half-serious. even in ball movement offenses, good defenses will still force you into bailouts more than you'd like. it helps when you have guys who can work under those conditions, too. you just don't want a roster full of guys who only work under those conditions...unless it's 1993.
