Be sure to watch tonight's D-Fenders game as Zu makes his D-Fenders debut! Tune in at 10:30PM ET to watch Rio Grande Valley Vipers @ Los Angeles D-Fenders (11/17/2016)
Nah I'll take it. Good fg ℅ and like someone else mentioned ...dleague is a guard /ISO league. Feel like it helps with D more thank anything .
My only complaint is the rebounds. Would like to see that higher, but the shooting is fantastic. 9 FGA in 23 minutes is a decent amount too. Shows he was involved.
Stats for bigs in the d league are almost irrelevant. Just watch the guy and see if he's doing the things that will make him a contributor.
Yes, this. The D-League is ragged, it's full of guys too short for the NBA running up and down jacking up 3's, tweener bigs not quite good enough to hang with NBA competition at those spots, and some guards that can go out and dominate scoring because it's so faced paced that when are put in the NBA are the 14th/15th man on the bench. Ryan Kelly was able to have dominant stretches on offense in the D-League, that's all that needs to be said.
He can be so quick at times with that huge lower frame and foundation of his, and so far in his few minutes in the NBA he has been tenuous to a fault not trying to do the same thing. Maybe he doesn't realize yet that those moves will work on the A team as well. See Julius this year who always had it and had to slow down a bit. Zu has it and can continue to build on it. Love the Big kid!!
I expected this by now with his arms at least. He's had 3 months since he got back in the USA after being drafted by his favorite Lakers team celebratory Euro trip with HOT 5 years older GF.... and allegedly 1st time with access to a s.o.t.a. weight room.
Sheeooot!! Just coming in after watching our nail biter win over OKC on time shift. Wow!! On a night with so many exciting plays that I'm sure I'll find things to talk about as well, my boy didn't play. However ..... though his arms I'm poking fun of above aren't where they need to be, I had to do a double take and replay Zu walking off the bench at the very end after the game was over from the left side of the frame ..... in tight pants from a side view. Those tree trunk calves of his turn into bigger tree trunk upper legs. This kid has it in his "back pocket" mass down low as he learns the pro game, polishes his moves in the key and gets bigger and bigger in the years to come with his body maturing.
