Me too. Luke was hitting like 60-70% of his 3s the first month or two with that new ball that not many other guys liked apparently. I recall it being described as having a rougher feeling surface.
Amen to this. Love the win and the heart to come back but we gotta break this habit of digging early holes now.
Luke seems to be pretty down to earth which I like. He is honest in his interviews. He isn't just peaches and cream, nor is he like Scott who used to thrash his players after every game.
This will always be applicable for explaining the difference between 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 and god bless sirron!!
Black couldn't get playing time last year. Everyone wanted Young and Williams to leave. Now all of them contribute and are a big part of our record. That might seems too much but maybe even Sacre and Kelly would look great with our new coach.
That really was a great play and I've noticed Luke's ability to draw them up multiple times this season.
Maybe it's just my eyes but I noticed at times when Julius inbound the ball after an opponent's score, he stepped inbound before he actually passed the ball to Ingram or Russell. Did anyone see that too?
Julius does this SOOO much. And then Russell will often bring the ball up and unnecessarily "lateral" it to the trailing man as he crosses half court. Finally got called for a backcourt violation a few games ago. And the whole team takes their sweet time bringing the ball up and usually barely beat the 8 second count. Super frustrating because one day it's gonna bite us when it counts. Hope Luke gets on their case a little about it.
It happens way too much and I'm surprised it hasn't been called yet. Also then touching the ball after they scored, surprised no delay of game has been called.
Luke is absolutely a Jedi. I am blown away at what a great coach he is becoming. He's a keeper. The FO nailed this hire . . . finally!!!
Searching for that 300 (passes) game http://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/la-sp-lakers-report-20161116-story.html That's the title above in the "rag" Times today by new Lakers beat writer this year, Tania Ganguli. Like her a lot so far. ..... and OMG, that first photo is frightening. One little wrench this way or that and "snap". But will you look at the "length" of that sucker!!
