    Regarding missing so many open shots:

    I've never played organized basketball, so i don't know if what im about to say is bologna. What i've heard so many say is that effective shooting is about rhythm and confidence (aside from mechanics and skill, obviously). Does it make sense that a team of very young players, still learning a totally new offense and adjusting to playing in the NBA and building chemistry with one another, results in them "thinking" rather than "knowing" how to play? Even on the occasions where they're running things to perfection, it required a lot of; "Ok, gotta remember to do this, now he'll do that, I shoudln't do this yet, ok now it's time to do this, and now...hey it worked, I'm open, I should shoot." *clank*

    In other words, when their chemistry, tendencies, and knowledge of the offense becomes second nature, rhythm and confidence in when and where to shoot will result in making more open looks.

    I definitely agree with this but I know some will dismiss it as just making excuses.

    We really had no offense last season. I definitely don't think the guys are used to getting this many open looks.

    I expected more from luke and his strategy guarding pg13 considering he played with guys like kobe and saw 1st hand what star can do in crunch time with likes of curry

    What plan reliably stops a super star from scoring when the game is on the line?

    Also, keep in mind, we had to have JC and Russel in because we had to have scoring ourselves, so there's no way to hide them on defense. We just had to hope pg13 misses on those shots. Sometimes they will miss, but they are super stars for a reason.

    Hoping a star player missing shots being guarded by much shorter defenders isnt a sound strategy

    The Pacers ran a pick and roll to get the switch so Russell was guarding him. Luke in the post game mentioned they tried to bring Randle over to help but like Kobe was the master at doing, George turned to the other shoulder (away from the double team) and his the fadaway.

    How do you stop them from forcing the switch if you start with Ingram or Deng on him? Look at these shots



    Young players aren't going to know how to fight through that. We were sending a double team on both shots, but this is a young inexperienced team. I just feel it's expecting more than you should at this stage of the players development. It's not on Luke

    The plan was to double team. That's why Randal was coming, but you can't double team before the ball goes to the man you want to double team.

    PG13 has seen a million double teams and read it coming.

    I never saw a double...if they tried they were slow in doing so. ..the possession against Jc, pg13 held the ball for several secs before he took the shot and i didnt see anyone coming over
