Its still early, hopefully by the end of the season we see some growth. Its really only his second year. Normally we would be super pumped if a rookie averaged a double double. I never really thought randle would be a super star. I'd be pumped if he is the 3rd best player on a good playoff team. If russell and Ingram turn out to be as good as they look to be, I think randle fits perfect into that 3rd guy.

He wasn't a rookie. If we keep bending the rules to accommodate him, isn't it clear something is off?

The problem is, I don't think Randle thinks he is that 3rd guy. He thinks he's a 1st guy, which he's probably been his entire life up until now.

That's why it's imperative that his development focuses on developing intangibles like defensive instincts, boxing out, a midrange jumper, and being able to play OFF the ball.

Randle was fantastic tonight. Some clutch buckets down the stretch. Had a big block on Harden. Just so much more under control and he was better finishing around the game as well as his post game. Great effort by Julius tonight. Keep working young fella!

some good finishes at the rim throughout. he missed too many of those last year; hopefully this is a growth area.

Randle has too much talent to not turn into an LO type player on a title team. Lakers have 4 guys right now that are growing into their own. Let them develop. I think all 4 will be stars, with 2 of them being MVP type stars.

If there is a player that would have benefited in this era of point fowards (that's not in the tri), it would be Lamar Odom. Geezus, thinking of him in Randle's current role gives me chills. In any other generation, Randle would have his *** parked in the paint and he'd be limited to post touches & midrange face ups. I think he'd be good at it too. There's nothing wrong with that, just different eras.

I know Randle is doing Odom-like things right now in this offense, but I don't think the comparison gives Odom proper credit in regards to his handles & court vision. LO was a cut above in that department, even right out of college.
