any dish is as good as its ingredients. in the case of composite statistics, you have to feel good about the constituents, all of which have their own flaws. i applaud rodg for working at what i consider to be a relatively sisyphean task. it give us things to think and talk about, even if we're not sure of whether it's capturing the essence of basketball "goodness".

The funny thing is that in addition to shooting way above his career average, he's handing out a career high assists.
So here's my Win Projection so far: 33 wins (this one is based on stats). (This is different from my prediction, which is 29; this one is subjective, and I posted it in the win thread.) A few things about this number: my stat becomes increasingly accurate as the season wears on (a good stat should be able to correct as it goes to accommodate unforeseen things). The win projection total has ranged from 24 to 39 so far. 2015/16 Last season, the projection got to within 5 games of the Lakers' actual wins (17) by game number 6 on the season. This means that after game six, the win projection was never outside 17 +/-5. By game 28 it was within 3, so the prediction never was outside 17 +/-3. It got to within 1 by game 51, so after that point it was never outside 17 +/-1. 2014/15 In 2014/15, it was within 1 game by game 44 on the season; within 3 games by game 41; and within 5 games by game 39 (but it was within 5.09 by game 12). Given all that, I'd narrow the range of wins to 26-40 right now, and in another half a dozen games, we should have it down to within 5.
