Honestly i've been kind of disappointed at his performance thus far on the offensive end.

The bright side though, is that he seems to be pretty solid defensively and is willing to be coached.

I won't feel better if we took Tayshaun Prince with the second pick in the draft

could have taken darko milicic...or any number of #2 picks over the past decade plus. look at the list, and then be very happy if you got tayshaun prince. the draft is fool's gold in this regard. the expected value of these picks is actually nowhere near as high as fans and media think. obviously, if you nail one, it changes everything. but other times, you get the number 1 pick in the andrea bargnani draft. the lakers got the #2 pick in the towns draft, and maybe the #2 pick in the simmons draft (if philly hasn't totally cursed him). you just try to bat above league average.

and for the record, i think ingram will be better than prince. but closer to that than durant. this is ok. there's one durant in every five drafts or so. maybe.

Just read that Kinston, Brandon's home town in NC is being hard hit by the flooding from Hurricane Matthew and expected to still get worse apparently. He's working with his agent to send some money there to help. I hope his own neighborhood is OK selfishly for his sake.

he's definitely improving by the game. seems to have a knack for drawing fouls, which is nice. need to make fts, though. his jumper is starting to be less rushed, looking pure again.

Durant never blocked more than 105 shots in a season, and Prince hasn't even blocked 80. Ingram has 8 in 141 minutes. He could fall well off that pace and still block 100 shots this season. I'm not saying that makes him a good player or even a good defender, but his block rate is pretty crazy.

Ingram's defensive potential is what excites me most. His length will always make him difficult to score against even if said player is quicker. He has the length to recover so easily and will be a nightmare for smaller forwards.

Agreed 100%. The other part of this is mental. Ingram simply does not have Durant's mentality offensively. Durant is nearly Kobe level of aggressive on that end. Ingram is far, far more willing to make the extra pass than Durant had ever been in OKC.

I think we got a more talented Prince which is a great, great thing.

I think somebody should tell Ingram he is Kobe's replacement and there is a responsibility to chuck shots. Do it Brandon!

Great shooting last night, as abeer3 said, he looked more relaxed and wasn't rushing. He's got nice form and a good touch. He'll get there. When he is able to consistently knock down those threes he's going to be a tough cover, especially if he continues to develop his handles. I think the sky's the limit for the kid. I do agree that he's more Prince-like than Durant-like, but geez what does everyone expect? Durant is a generational scoring phenom. Ingram's more of a highly skilled, two way, system friendly player but I'm thrilled we have him here and I think he's a terrific talent. He'll be just fine.

I'm not trying to pile on the guy, because I wanted him, even if we had the 1st pick.

But, he was 3 of 6 in 26 minutes last night. We're looking for him to be a scorer and he's only getting up 6 shots in 26 minutes. That's just not gonna cut it. I know it's preseason, but this is a trend thru summer league and preseason. I don't think he's just gonna start shooting 20 times when the season starts. BUT HE SHOULD!!!

If he's only shooting 6 times, he needs to be getting assists or rebounds and he's not gonna be doing that either.

Tayshaun Prince? Looking more like Wesley Johnson.
