I thought Tiny Dog looked real good in so many things he was doing and how he was moving out there and his feel for the game, in spite of his J's not dropping last night. Least of my worries. If only Russell was as dominant already as the game he "talks" since he got here. He'll get there (I think) but "show us" dude.

Ingram doesn't come across as a player who would impose his will on a game. He's a silent killer.

Less Draymond and Westbrook, more like Durant and Leonard. These guys feel the game out, pick their spots, and quietly produce huge games.

Now that he got first game jitters out of his system, hopefully we can see more offensive production. At least he had some nice defensive moments last night.

i think we need to stop thinking leonard/durant and start thinking prince/kirilenko. this is a much healthier way to live. if he ends up in the former category, it's a pleasant surprise!

His length really comes in handy defensively. He bothered his man on a lot of plays yesterday.

He should emulate AK47 with those remarkable fantasy stats.

    One pre-season game ...

It's clear he's nowhere near " NBA ready" as Durant was ... it doesn't mean he won't have a shot at becoming a very good to great player in the future ...

Lottery picks are definetely way overhyped ,especially since the 2014 draft though

His lack of strength really showed in the 1st preseason game. When he was getting backed into the post, he would get moved 2-3 feet at a time. Literally no resistance at all. But his length will be a problem when other guys face up to play him.

Couple things to keep in mind:

Durant came from a Texas system designed for him, and went to a lottery team to build around him.

Brandon is coming from a team oriented Duke offense to a team still trying to determine who to build around.

One thing is for sure about Ingram, the skill and the mentality is there.

lol, though it is already probably safe to say we're not looking at a durant type. it's going to take time, but i think he has a good shot at being an impactful player on both ends. the lakers franchise just isn't a great place to land when you're not ready to go right out of the box!

I don't. He's played two pre-season games it's too early to say anything about his ceiling. He probably won't make the impact right away, but once he gets his feet wet he has a chance be a special player in this league.

I mentioned it in the game time thread; I thought and think Drew Hanlen did really good work w/Clarkson in developing his game. He's going to need to work on his offensive game. His defense is fine (aside from the strength factor)...

Adjusting to the speed & strength at the wing position is probably the biggest learning curve he's dealing with now. I like his instincts though, it shows when he can pull off multiple blocks in games - off jumpers, in the post and on help defense. Luke has been preaching defense this entire time and Ingram has been showing up in that department.

I didn't know that D'Lo would have a green light this bright in the offense. And for a team that's searching for a reliable option on offense, that is fine... but it will take time for T-Dogg to find his own niche in the offense for the time being. Throw in some rookie jitters and I can see why the shot isn't falling yet. I think he'll be fine as the season progresses.

The offense will come to him, he's gifted on that end. I do like what we are seeing from him defensively, he's using his length well even though he gets bounced around a lot.

He's going to take some time but so is the rest of the team.

He needs to be more aggressive, the problem is he isn't getting enough touches that's why he looks tentative, I think he'll be an all star in year 3 once he adjusts to the game.
