    He missed a bunch of very good looks; just one of those nights. Luke and D'Angelo also mentioned getting teammates more involved when he is shooting like that...

    That's really the ticket. They were good shots, he just missed them and for the most part I can live with that. But Luke's right - if they aren't falling Russell needs to get others involved. One assist on the night isn't going to cut it. I'd love to see him continue to improve as a distributor. He's got the tools to do so - the great no look passing ability, the thread the needle ability, the P and R ability (but not as much confidence or regularity as he should there). I'd love to see him do more probing and kicking than settling for that mid range shot he has. That's his go to and he's really good at it, but he needs more evolving as a playmaker right now as our PG of the future.

    Exactly.. Missing shots & getting outplayed by Lillard is one thing.. Going 6-21 in a close game with only 1 assist is just not good Basketball..

    The one thing I will say is he did get players a bunch of looks last night. Multiple passes led to near baskets, but then our player was fouled and missed the shot. Also, multiple occasions where he got a guy an open look but missed. I don't know if he will ever be a 10 ast a game guy, but I feel at his peak he will be around 6-7 with good shooters and finishers.

    Poor shooting night, but he will recover and it's preseason

    It was. I think he would've helped both of them and been a solid member of Luke's staff.
