I think DAR could be a very effective 2 right now in the league. The 1 will come, right now he's been very aggressive offensively due to a scoring need. The 3.7 assists in 27 mins so far isn't terrible nor is it really an indication of his effectiveness yet, he can't help it if Mozgov can't dunk from directly under the rim. Guys have to convert and we need his scoring anyways. He is also trying on D which is more than can be said for Williams who needs to stay on the bench where his scoring can out-weigh the lack of D. I'm very happy with DAR right now and as Kobe said, there's no reason to not expect his play now to roll right over into the regular season. It's not like he's "barely" there he's kicking ***.

Amazing what happens when a coach lets a talented player play his game.

I have enjoyed the preseason. Probably the most enjoyable preseason ever that I can remember. However I am really ready for the regular season. I want to see the end product and play to win every game.

Maybe if we throw in a first rounder and a conditional 2nd?

Do you think DR's play in the pre-season will reflect upon the regular season? It's been awhile since I been this excited for a Lakers season.

Yes. He is starting to look real smooooooth and sharp out there with that long stroke as well as the mid-range game. Handles looking good. Stronger this year. Back to the basket game could be big problem for shorter PGs as well.

Plus gotta say he ..... like a Kobe "lite" in this particular area ....sure doesn't lack for confidence in himself.

I think we saw it bits and pieces of it last season already. (Ice in my veins.) We saw it in Summer League and we got more in Preseason.

I think it's safe to say the D'Angelo is ready to take the reins at this current junction for the team.

If he continues to shoot like that I'd make things and take pressure off from everyone else. It's so important for a young team to get off to a great start. Having a lead included?

I don't see why it wouldn't. Russ is a confident player.

I'm excited to see how he does against a much better player and team in the Blazers tonight @ Staples

Not exactly mad because he took his usual shots, just couldn't make them. But at some point if your shot isn't going in, try and affect the game in another way. We know he can score, still waiting to see the PG/basketball science DAR.

He had to chase Dame all day, which is no easy feat for the young fella.

I like that he kept goin though, and taking good shots even though he couldn't hit em.

This is the kind of situation where maybe we stick like a Deng or Clarkson on a guy like Lillard.

true. playmaking, guarding Lillard, and still scoring is almost impossible for a sophomore

I thought DLo played well, he just missed too many of his usual shots down the stretch. We had our opportunities, but he and Clarkson just kept coming up short on those shots to close it out.

    6/21 overall 9/0 from 3, a whooping 1 assist and 5 fouls.

Sure off nights happen but he needs to stop shooting up ice (I absolutely hate that gesture) in his veins and try some humble pie ;)
