If Larry could carve this kind of line - we are so golden. In his prime, AK47 was the king of 5x5, having recorded that line 3 times. Only Hakeem recorded it more times, at least based on the available records, as I am sure Wilt and Big O got some as well...

BTW... another one who did it was... George Gervin. May be BI would become AK47 of the modern age.

I'm confused. Are we talking about Brown, Ingram, or Nance?

    "I coulda been coaching KD...."

Good all around game. Always seems to make the right play. Very good basketball IQ. Randle needs to pick up his energy or he might find himself coming off the bench.

Nance is awesome IMO and I want him to be a Laker. He is the perfect utility guy but he is more an energy guy off the bench than a reliable starter.

His game is also phyiscally demanding so that he is going to be injury prone. Therefore IMO he is more of a backup than a starter.

This guy should be starting and Randle coming off the bench. Nance is just a much better all around player than Randle at the moment, especially on the defensive end.

He might be a backup eventually, but right now, we need him to start if Randle doesn't improve.

I really like what he brings to the team. Honestly, at this point in their careers, Nance should start and Randle should come off the bench.

I said it a few times last year. I wondered if Nance was going to be our pf as opposed to Randle. At what point do we just look past the position they were drafted and just admit Nance is better and might actually end up being better?

i think he'll get the start sooner than that. he does things luke wants; randle doesn't. i like randle, but he's poor fit for the kind of system it seems the lakers want to install. and it may be the case that he's a backup scoring forward in any system in the modern nba. sort of a supercharged carl landry. i hope that's not the case; i was quite high on him at draft time, but he's not showing the progress one would like in terms of feel for the game. that has to pick up before his athleticism leaves him.

i agree that nance is likely to get hurt a lot, though. he leaves the floor way too much not to.

I was disappointed to see largely the same Randle yesterday. He looks like he might have improved his shot but no guarantee. Larry has court vision, put backs, hits jumpers and plays D. He's just the guy we need out there plain and simple. Just because Nance can't dribble drive and spin move to the basket the way Randle can does not mean Larry is a worse player. Larry does play an injury-prone game though. He needs to be coached into making better decisions about going in the air.
