Bad on the front office/coaches to even let this guy back around the team IMO.

^^^ I have little doubt that slimmed down, in maybe his best shape ever fighting for his L.A. basketball career and lifestyle .... that Nick can be as good or better than he was a couple years ago when we loved him playing to his best capabilities as like a 6th man. Especially under Luke and this incredible staff he has put together. The big hurdle of course is it's not going to be all cool between DAR and him and DAR hasn't been too subtle with a number of his tweets regarding Nick news. Does Luke bring that in, assuming he can use Nick's skills for the betterment of the team, and fix the locker room issue as well? Don't know that they would risk the locker room situation.

All that said, if Nick is still on the roster and has gotten himself into tremendous condition with his body and his skills when they go to Santa Barbara .... he certainly has a puncher's chance of overcoming the seemingly inevitable buy out or whatever other arrangement they'd have to make to not have him around.

In fact if he is up in camp with them in Santa Barbara that is pretty amazing in and of itself.

I don't want anyone gone till I see what Luke can do with them. Having a good sincere coach, who knows what could transpire. Bone heads can become good teammates, average players become good solid players.. We could use a career year from Nick. Like someone said, just a short time ago we all loved Nick. I'm willing to give most anyone a pass from last season. Last season I was more negative than I have ever been because of Byron. Byron had the entire Laker Nation in a swivet. By the end of the season the people that were saying having Byron's head blown off was going too far were ready to pull the trigger....lol One last chance for Nick!

Sadly Swaggy P has become annoying by default.

His interviews, his demeaner, his facial expressions and everything...its all annoying at this point.

But it is the right decision not to stretch him. I would have prefered if we kept him away from the team. Next offseason he will be a dirt cheap expiring K and be gone definitely. He might even get some burn to increase his value which is zero right now.

We could have "dumped" them. We expected to get some value, which made it tough.

With Young...take him for a bag of chips. At some point a team that is desparate for scoring/shooting will bite.

I think it's gonna be good for the team to keep Nick around. He may or may not have a bounce back year on the court. I'd much rather have to give him spot minutes here and there than Anthony Brown. But off the court, it's not like him and Russell are gonna be hanging out so there's no way his "lifestyle" is going to be a negative influence.

But having to learn to push aside personal differences while managing to still coexist on the court will be good for Russell's maturity. Locker rooms aren't always gonna be sunshine and roses. Gotta learn to be a professional and deal with that tension.

LA Lakers Rumors: Lakers Willing to Trade Nick Young to Bucks for Michael Carter-Williams

LA Lakers rumors – With Michael Carter-Williams’ diminishing role in Milwaukee, a Nick Young straight swap could happen. If this pushes through, which team stands to benefit more from the deal?

    Bucks is Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team
When Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd made Giannis Antetokounmpo a point guard for several games, it created matchup headaches for opposing teams. But more importantly, it puts the 21-year-old Greek in the limelight.

His impressive performance catapulted him into one of the rising stars in the NBA. This season, he is expected to carry the Bucks to the playoffs.

Per Brew Hoop, Jason Kidd talked at length about the young Greek.

“Giannis is playing at a very high level right now. After the break, we’ve made some changes, we’ve kind of given him the ball as the point guard,” Kidd said.

“On misses, we’re trying to get the ball to him as quick as possible and have everybody else run. And he’s made some incredible passes,” he added.

Given Giannis’ stellar plays, Michael Carter-Williams (MCW) might be reduced to a mere role player. It might be okay with him but he is just too good to come in as a role player.

Standing 6’6″, MCW is an all-around player. Coming into his fifth year in the NBA, MCW is averaging 14.5 points per game, along with 6.1 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals. These are way too impressive numbers for someone who is coming off the bench.

That would be great but why would the Bucks do it, couldn't they get more for him?
