Thanks for the info on Casey following that. I might just start as best as I can word them throwing some tweets at that site at some point, to the effect Luke should respectfully ask favors of Kobe his friend (better yet ask FO to pay him like they are Nash in SF) ..... who just days ago said Lakers basketball is (paraphrasing) "in his blood, he's going to be around the facility and all any of the guys who want to work out with him need to do is just call him" ........ to specifically come in and help his big men when he can fit it in his busy schedule, and any other guys (DAR certainly) with their back to the basket games' footwork and moves. We now have a sizable quantity of really big and fairly skilled Dudes down low. We are a big squad. I like it. Think if Yoda Bryant has them on a regular basis. Don't need Dream for this. Kobe just as good or better.

What if? Luke's partial plan is to f*** with the acknowledged norm now of "BIG" men no longer being that important. See All Star game selection process. And being a Triangle disciple among other current strategies, who knows what to do with skilled Big Men ...... decides to play a lot of strength with Big Men numbers on roster and pound the ball down low to open up the perimeter. Jedi mind trick everyone by going Retro. When he's not playing Small Ball himself.

Do it Luke. Can you imagine Zu's mind blown by being coached by his idol, same thing with Julius ..... Kobe Bryant?

Will Scott, Video Coordinator. Is that Byron's son? Classy of Luke and Lakers to keep him on if so. What was his title last year?

    Will Scott:
Will Scott moves into his fourth season as the D-Fenders video coordinator and will also serve as a special assistant coach. Scott’s primary responsibilities include video editing, scouting upcoming opponents and assisting in on-court development. Working as student manager at Indiana University from 2009-11 under current head coach Tom Crean, Scott acted as an assistant to the entire coaching staff on a day-to-day basis and handled an array of responsibilities such as video editing video for scouting purposes, supporting practice drills and aiding with in-game operations. A graduate of Indiana, Scott has a degree in Sports Marketing and Management along with a minor in Business.

    He's not related to Byron.

Thanks. So Byron's son was let go too then? He did have a son working there, right? Or was that assumed to be Will Scott by others as well as myself? What was his title and duties while he was here?

Thomas Scott is in his first year as an NBA assistant. He's also the son of Byron Scott. He's heard plenty in his father's first year as the Lakers' coach.

His duties this season include player development, most recently some work with rookie Jordan Clarkson, and advance scouting assignments that send him to watch future opponents a few days before the Lakers play them.

Scott, 32, worked in the Development League with the Los Angeles D-Fenders last season and the Canton Charge from 2011 to 2013. He also spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a player development/video coach and the New Orleans Hornets as an assistant video coordinator, working for his father in both spots.

Do you smell that too? Anything close to Byron smells like crap. I'm sorry his son had to go, but like they say, the road apples don't fall far from the unicorn.

Yes. So...who is in charge of defensive principles? Seriously... I suppose that is where the 3 listed PDC's are for?

Keefe was responsible for some of the defense at OKC. Mentioned in his work history after telling KD to get over himself and mainly working with him early on.

'Keefe joined the Thunder franchise as a player development assistant on August 23, 2007, when the team was still the Seattle SuperSonics. Prior to that time, Keefe had been a video coordinator for the San Antonio Spurs.[1] Prior to joining the Spurs, Keefe was an assistant coach for four seasons at NCAA Division II Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., and one season at the University of South Florida.[1]

In 2010, Keefe was given defensive assistant coaching duties after the departure of Thunder assistant Ron Adams.[2] Keefe also coached the Thunder's summer league roster in Orlando from July 5–9, 2010.[2]

As a player, Keefe spent two seasons of NCAA basketball at UC Irvine before transferring to UNLV his final two seasons, graduating in 1999.[1]

In 2014, Keefe joined the New York Knicks coaching staff under Derek Fisher.'

Shaw has also coached under Vogel, and hopefully learned a thing or two about defensive schemes. Plus, even though the coached have 'defined roles and titles', I believe Luke will listen to everybody; such as Kerr did. Everybody on the coaching staff will have an integral role in what we do; so, if Keefe, (who ran Ron Adams defense) sees something or notices something that we could do differently, Luke will listen.
