I don't think that tweet was in reference to his contract situation. Nobody in the media has really tried making a story about his contract.

Yep. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but at this point something weird is going on. I'm not a fan. I'd prefer if we didn't have to give up Ingram for Westbrook.

Then again... Westbrook on the roster might change my mind.

If he signs an extension take 2 of our prospects and I won't blink an eye.

and then what? westbrook (30mill), moz (16), deng (18), Clarkson (12) takes us out of the next years max FA game. This core isn't even a top 4 in the west IMO

Or we have our eyes on a FA signing or a dump and not signing Ingram gives us a little more wiggle room money wise. But having Ingram and OKC's rookie not being signed yet is setting off all sorts of alarms for me. And with basketball being pretty quiet lately, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna over react here.

Well we're not trading Russell, Randle, AND Ingram so there's that. Also I assume we're not stopping there and we'd continue the trades. I also think having Russell Westbrook alone nearly guarantees you a playoff berth. I like playoff berths.

but you said send them two top prospects so no Russell or Ingram. As for Randle, well I don't expect him to be a game changer IMO, just a role player.

Well I disagree with that and the point is we'd have plenty of young prospects after losing even Ingram and Russell with Clarkson, Randle, Nance Jr., Black, and Zubac. Those guys can also be flipped for another piece who could make us more competitive, or we can build around them.

Again: not what I want, but what I'm beginning to wonder if the Lakers are considering.

think you're over valuing the rest of the remaining "prospects" I don't even think we could get a tier 2 star type player if you package ALL of those remaining guys.

    I think you're undervaluing them.

Ingram and Russell are head and shoulders above the rest of our core in terms of value. Dr. Buss would consider them our 10 carat diamonds. We'd practically lose 80% of our future.

I love JC lol....but this is how the rest of the league seems to think of our players and value....pretty f'n stupid. JC is supposedly the worse contract signing in terms of value for anyone signed for 10+mill/yr. Like wtf, worse than mozgov?

I like Clarkson alot but he's 24, the same age as Kyrie Irving. In my estimation, both Russell (20) and Ingram (19) will be valued as max players by the end of this season.

no way i'd move both ingram and russell for westbrook. hell, the list of players i'd trade BOTH for is like, two players long, if that. you have to factor in the age, too.

however, one of the two plus other things? you have to consider it, imo.

Where is the rest of that chart? I want to see what the numbers mean :)

I don't think the JC signing was great, but I can't imagine it's the worst in the league.

    I agree. :D

I've been the devil's advocate on this one, but my plan would never have been to trade both of them. I'm just worried it's something the Lakers are considering given that Ingram hasn't signed yet. Something weird is going on with the contract situation right now. Although given that Sabonis hasn't signed yet, it could be something like Ingram/Randle for Westbrook/Sabonis with some other stuff mixed in on our end.

Ingram has an app to remind him to eat every 3-4hrs and to make sure he eats 5000 calories
