    Larry Nance, Jr. is another in a long line of glue guys we've had on championship teams since the 80's. I think it's a good omen.

    The beautiful thing about Nance is that he provides exactly what Randle doesn't. He's a good defender, spaces the floor better, uses his freakish athleticism to make hustle plays, and shoots better outside the paint. Randle is a better scorer and more versatile offensively, a beast of a rebounder, a bull, a good passer, and has a nice transition game. They really complement each other well.

    I've been saying since last year even while watching Randle develop, that Nance is a keeper. He is exactly the kind of guy that holds the locker room together. His ability to spark the team, swing momentum, and do the dirty things is invaluable to a championship roster. Guys like Larry are just as important as stars on winning teams.

    I've said since last year that we can find a way for both of them to get quality minutes. Whether that's going ultra small with Larry at the 5 or putting him at the 4. Since Larry and Julius complement each other I can see them on the floor together, but only if they both improve their shooting and their range. Ultimately my fear is that both Larry and Julius develop their games and we will be forced to choose between the two because both deserve the minutes. A good problem to have.

    This is my fear too. We lost a year of Randle's development. We are two years from having to decide if he is a future cornerstone and if we need to give him the max (or close to it). Nance will give us an extra year and probably won't cost us as much based purely on the numbers, but because we potentially have tons of scoring with Clarkson, Russell and Ingram, Nance may get the nod and Randle will be moved or allowed to walk.

    Unless Larry turns into Draymond Green in October, I don't think we'll have to choose. Larry seems to me still a role player albeit a great one. He's shown flashes of starting potential, but like you said: it just means he's going to be a great asset for us off the bench. Randle is absolutely more talented than Larry and if Randle shows the same kind of growth the other kids have, I think we'll all be perfectly fine with Larry being that explosive presence off the bench. As it is, I'm just happy those two will continue to push each other. Having a guy like Larry behind Julius will mean he has to keep his game sharp and he has to continue to work hard because Larry absolutely will and if Larry continues to improve, then Julius may be the guy we bring off the bench eventually.

    The development of Randle/Nance will be a bigger problem for opposing teams than it will be for us.

    Of course there is always foul trouble for either Randle or Nance and one has to sit down for awhile. Non issue at this point, certainly with Luke as coach. Byron f***** it all up last year with the two of them.

    What's the prognosis on a broken wrist? If that's what his injury is, does it mean he'll be out of action for a while? Would he be unable to continue working this off-season? Any chance he wouldn't be ready to start the regular season? How debilitating is it in terms of affecting a player's jump shot long term?

    If his wrist is broken then he'll be out around 6-8 weeks so he'll probably be back by training camp
