Another good game by Zu. He was productive, especially on the defensive end.

With the lousy center play in the NBA, Zubac might make an impact even as a rookie. I can only imagine where he will be when he is 22. Man, this is unreal how good Mitch and Co. have been in the draft.

Thing I love about his blocks too are that they are always kept in play. He's not like the airhead Howard who blocks everything out of bounds just to give the other team the ball back? Most of Zublocka's blocks go our way.

His set shot has been money so far.

I also noticed that he seems to have good instincts for plays in general. You can tell sometimes when he looks confused or a guard waves him off, and he doesn't really know what to do in the set and he just naturally makes a pretty good decision.

He should train with Hakeem. What a steal of a pick!

How did we luck into this kid. He dropped all the way to us in the second round! I think he's going to get a solid 10 mins a game this year and they will be impactful. His blocks are controlled. If he can't get the rebound he'll tap it to keep it alive.

Can't hate this guy even if I wanted to.

Dude has been in the USA for a few weeks and you have to throw the K word out there.

Don't put that evil on him.

My wife was 23 and I was 19 when we met. We waited til i finished school to get married, as she had moved to Texas and I was in Cali. We got married at 22/26 and have been together 17 years/married for 13....and life is pretty great...

LOL. I was checking out the clip which was short, appropriate with regards to Kardashians and funny. But then it quickly ended and I didn't really know what it was from. And up next was the extended clip from which it was taken from the movie I was well aware of but never saw.

I think it's fair to say he was a steal in the 2nd round. He's far more NBA ready than we had any right to expect. More importantly though he has the tools. Sometimes you get these kids and they just don't have it. You can see someone like Vernando just doesn't have it to me. He's got some size and some smarts, but he doesn't really have the talent. With Zubac (and Ingram) while he's young, you still see the very real bones of an NBA player. He's intelligent, earnest, and talented. What more can you ask for?

Also as young as he is, he should get better and better over the next couple of years. Look at the physical difference between D'Angelo this season compared to the last. He's bigger, stronger, and more explosive. Next summer you might just see Zubac putting these Summer Leaguers on a poster.

Totally agreed with the bolded. That's why I'm not totally concerned with Ingram; just one single offseason of working out with Tim will make a difference. Same with Zubac who I think can and will get stronger. I like that mid-range jumper he hit in the 1st quarter yesterday; that will keep him on the floor. That block he had while GS was in transition was a thing of beauty. The kid has gotten me pretty darn excited. And he can post up!

He may not even go to summer league next season if he ends up leapfrogging Mozgov as our starting center. Not an impossibility at this point. It's not like Mozgov is a stud.

There was a good reason for him to present on draft night, If you look at mock drafts there were folks that had him as high as 16 and a lot of folks that had him in the 20s. He and Thon Maker were all up and down the board. Seems like he fell into the Lakers lap.

I knew this kid was NBA-ready. All it took were a couple of youtube clips. I still can't believe how he fell to #32.
