Yeah...Breshnahan is a schmuck. We went from Ostler to Kawakami to him.

On topic: nice press conference. Ingram will rep the Lakers well off the floor too. He came off as engaging and sincere. On the court Ingram will be the least of our concerns. He plays the 2 and he will be the longest shooting guard I will ever see [at this point].

Ingram is starting. If he doesn't start, everyone should get fired. I'm serious. That is the dumbest crap I have heard already this off season. LET THEM PLAY AND LEARN!!!!

LOL. If Walton doesn't agree with your armchair proclamation he should be fired? Easy tiger.

...glad that cranky, antagonistic, old f**k is gone too. I don't go for puff pieces when it comes to articles but being snide is another thing. Just losers who likely never played sports and probably were taped to their gym lockers or stuffed into them.

I don't see the fuss over whether Ingram starts or not. It's not as if there's any question that he'll get significant minutes. I'm going to trust Luke if he decides that the best approach for Ingram's development is to bring him off the bench.

I respectfully disagree with this. Ingram doesn't need to start right away. Russ, for example, was a different situation, he had nobody in front of him deserving of a start above him. Ingram has Deng ahead of him, a guy who is a starter in this league. Unless Ingram earns the start in camp, or starts at SG ahead of JC, he can come off the bench and split minutes with Deng. He's rail thin, he's still only 18, the NBA season is gonna be rough on his body. Because of Deng he doesn't have to be thrown into the fire, he can split that spot, or play with him in small ball lineups.

Nobody earns anything. We were upset last season because D'Lo was clearly outperforming Lou and was still coming off the bench. If Ingram earns the starting role then he should start, but if he's not ready there's no reason Deng shouldn't start over him. You don't just hand anything over.

Ingram is only 18 years old. He's only a year older than Kobe was when he came into the league and the same age as LeBron. He's basically a high school kid. That's why if necessary we can bring him off the bench and he'll be able to work against inferior players until he's ready to face starters in the NBA. This will only make Ingram better.

You want Luke fired just because he may bring Ingram off the bench? C'mon dude. Luke is gonna be a great and we should all trust him. He knows what he's done. Luke is a cerebral and modern basketball mind. Just watch his press conference. He's terrific.

    I disagree.

Ingram has a shot to earn a starting job but he has to take it. If he out plays Deng he will have earned his spot. It's difficult to use last season as an example because we were tanking and Byron was an idiot. Ingram shouldn't be given anything.
