Can you imagine ANY other current day elite player talking about their bumped knee? Kobe has played with a concussion, fractures, splints, face masks, sprains, shot free throws with one achilles..... and Dwight wants us to know people noticed his bumped knee was bothering him?

    Soft.

LeBooboo would. He would talk about how it was one of the most painful injuries an athlete can go through, and how he's going to make history by overcoming it.

Man, I try to give these guys the benefit of the doubt because reporters ask these questions but as Jimmy would say "come on!"

Randell broke his damn leg and has made less of it that Dwight bumping his knee. And I agree Lebron would of made it the greatest tragedy in the history of sports and if he continued to play it would of been the most awe-inspiring thing ever.

I could just be spoiled after all I watched Kobe dislocate a finger on J. Kidds Jersey then go over to Vitti have him pop it back in place, tape it and continue playing while altering his shooting mechanics during the game. Maybe DWight isn't a giant bag of Massengill. Maybe its Kobe is just so tough.hmmmmmm... Nope Dwights a wuss and Kobe is tough.

Another sport, same token... Then 49er safety Ronnie Lott had the tip of his finger amputated so he can play. If Howard had a hangnail, who knows how he would have handled it.

Kobe has played through more injuries that would have sidelined other players in the SAME game and with less days off than anyone in the history of perhaps any sport. As I've said before, hard to tell with American Football guys because of all the gear. But I'd still bet on Kobe.

What % chance, trying to will his Cleveland, or Miami, or Cleveland team again now..... into the Playoffs ..... "knowing he is now out of them" ....... LeBron James ............or Dwight Howard with any of his teams, would walk to the free throw line on his own with a snapped achilles tendon to shoot 2 free throws?? Let alone make them.

It hard to talk about history, as, for example, George Mikan played with a broken wrist. But yeah, the ability and mentality of Kobe for playing through injury is something really impressive.

I love that the NBA is turning on him. He really is a jerk and I want him to fail.

Saw that report. The point being that D12's "squeaky clean" fake Superman (innocent kid) image appears to be a fraud. If he ever got caught (legitimately, as opposed to the twitter photo non-scandal last summer), things would be very different in terms of 'respect' from the entire NBA for his 'decision' to abandon the Lakers when he did for the Championship building Houston Rockets. (Don't think that is going to happen anytime soon either).
