Best photo I've seen of Ingram in a Lakers jersey.

That tape looked wicked. Once his body gets more muscle he is going to kill it.

Agreed... I think Ingram could potentially have a bigger impact down the road than Russell and Randle. The skill set is there along with the determination and maturity.

What is this? Did Kareem himself make a gif, or is this some sirron wannabe :Magic Brows: that uses KAJ's name for his online presence?

I found it odd as well given that I reckon Abdul-Jabbar doesn't spend that much time monitoring basketball let alone our Lakers.

Per Doc, Ingram's cap hold is lower than he will sign for, so they might push off the official signing a few more days.

D'Angelo didn't sign his contract until the day of the first Summer League game last year

He both glides like Durant with more grace (like Gervin) and has a step back jump shot that looks as slick and pure as Horry/Cooper. He has leaping ability as well around the rim. Kobe was very skinny when he was 17. Watch out NBA! C Bags were so pissed we took him which is just a bonus.

Kobe was not a 'star' in year 1. He shot airballs. He had turnovers. But he showed confidence and came in with cockiness and leaping ability that was off the charts. I am not putting Ingram on that pedestal but when I first saw Bryant (despite the scouting) I was worried we drafted the next Ceballos and thought - well even if that is his ceiling - he is younger and will mesh well with Shaq.

I suppose because our team of kids has not established 'whose team' it is - who is the leader - we will wonder who will emerge. We saw flashes of star quality in D'Angelo last year. There are bright things ahead.

Imagine a team where you drafted:

    Magic
    Worthy/Barkley
    Byron Scott
    Fox
    and Batum

and then you added Andrew Bogut or Vlade to play center.

Would not be a bad team.

Perhaps we will say in 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020 after the Lakers have added another banner -

Well it wasn't as great as that team (above) but we had drafted

    Russell
    Randle
    Clarkson
    Nance
    Ingram

and added Mosgov/Zubek and some other piece and 'got it done.'

Lakers are on the rise everyone.

Just dawned on me that Ingram could be a Tracy McGrady type of talent... Same angular body and tangible ability on both sides of the ball.

At 4:19 you can see how REALLY skinny he is. I mean, I knew he was skinny, but wow, that kid needs to eat a burger.

basketball players are skinny. You do not see is as much because they wear long shorts and jerseys. Michael Cooper was the baddest perimeter defender at a buck 70. And that was back then when you could actually play football on the court.
