I like that contract. 1 million in 2041 would be worth pennies. At that age he'd fill the Madsen role perfectly lol
How does this thread have as many pages as Brandon Ingram's thread? It just ain't right. It just ain't right.
Ingram is kind of a known commodity. We spent a month talking about him before we even drafted him since it was pretty much a lock he was ours...or Bender was ours. When Zubac's name was called, it was likely the first time most of us had heard of him.
I have no expectations for this guy at all. I've heard from a few places that this was a great pickup for us but I'm not concerned about him at all. If he is as good as people say, it'll only be a complete positive for me. We're in a nice position right now with a ton of young talent, new coach and cap space. Even if Zubac is a bust our future's hardly impacted. On the other hand if this kid can turn into something useful, we're that much better for the next decade. I like the position we're in and it sounds like Mitch and co. nailed another one.
Don't know about defense at his tender age but I'll go waay out on a limb (not) and say he will be a big improvement over Slow Roy on offense this year whenever he gets in the game. He's got those "soft" hands.
Mihm was a 10 and 6 player before he got hurt, he was solid, I liked him. Not a starter for a title team, but he'd have been a real nice backup if he stayed healthy.
i'm glad someone else said it; i was thinking the same thing. mihm was actually more athletic at the same age, though. i think some stat projections looked eerily mihm-esque as well.
Wasn't it Mihm's feet/ankles that did him in? He was an adequate big, and a lot was asked of him. A little too much.
i believe someone likened his ankle injury to something sustained in a car crash. i thought he looked to be on his way as a starting center prior to that.
LOL. Did you make that? It's a great video. BTW, after the first game he played in P&G, I remember thinking, "Hmm...did we just strike oil?"
I can't believe I just sat through that entire video with a big old grin on my face. Tomorrow at work, "So what did you do last night" Umm...
