@thkthebest mentioned Ellis the other day being another ball-handling guard that takes away touches from Teague and George, and he's right. Well, I think what the Pacers are doing are doing two things A.) Playing Small-Ball. Larry wants to go small and play a faster tempo B.) Adding offensive talent to a team that wasn't great offensively last year. However, Ellis, Young, and Turner can't shoot from distance with any efficiency.

So, if you're staring a lineup of: Teague, Ellis, George, Young, and Turner, you'd probably dare them to beat you from the outside. This is where I think Ellis needs to be moved for a floor spacing JJ Reddick type SG; you absolutely need another knock-down shooter in that lineup to make it work. If Ellis isn't gone this summer, I'd bet dollars to donuts, Larry moves him by February's trade deadline looking for a better fit.

I hate that move for Brooklyn. That's all you could get for Thad Young? Yikes. I like Thad.

...so is this the Warrior expect we are seeing? Speed, speed, speed...interchangeable perimeter players on both ends? Agree with RandleROFY that this crew won't scare anyone from the outside though George is very good IMO.

That's another issue. I do think they'll be better than last year, though.

like every team that's ever had him, they really need monta to be a 6th man with a placeholder starting sg. is thabo sefalosha available this year? i like him in this kind of role. the lakers could actually use him.

    Lets get Mahimi!
But yeah, thats an absolute steal by Indy, a 20th round pick for a still capable player.

Pacers making some solid moves to make them a decent playoff team again.

Like I said with the Knicks, let's see what they do at C. Turner can't hold it down alone if they want to compete and it doesn't fit with the rest of their lineup.

Nets are such a terrible organization. Like the worst in the NBA. They remember me of Isiah Thomas in his prime GM time.

Bird on the other hand seems to be obsessed with a perimieter orented fast paced offense. Its not necessarily bad but Indy hasn't exactly set the world on fire just yet.

Another good move from Indy, they're having a solid offseason so far. I like seeing the East improve, tired of LeBron teams having zero competition.

The Nets traded maybe their best player... for Caris LeVert... a prospect who has broken his foot twice already and could have been had in the 2nd Round probably.

    I can't even...

I don't know what it must be like as a Brooklyn fan. Seriously I don't.

Next up though is Brook. They've GOT to turn him into a 1st round pick somehow. Hopefully one that isn't in the 20s so Brooklyn doesn't have to idiotically reach for a guy.

Saw somewhere on Twitter that Brooklyn plans to go after a bunch of veterans this summer.

Good luck! You have no veterans now, no youth now, no picks later... No hope.
