This I believe was posted yesterday when he was at the Dodgers Game.

    Someone's excited!

Yeah all these guys are NO doubt. They likely felt they needed to be low key and hide their joy at first with Boron's head still rolling around in the basket but that's no longer the case since Luke's now officially here.

The fact that Russell is so excited makes me really eager for the new season to start ... Dang! The NBA season just ended! I feel like Russ is going to be unleashed and the NBA is going to have to watch out!

    Russell doing both I guess.

Summer League and then USA Training Camp. Cool that he gets to work with our new guy in Ingram. Never too early to getting to know our new player. Plus, Nance will likely get to play Randle's minutes.

    All good.

I'm a little disappointed Julius isn't joining, but it's not the end of the world.

D'Angelo says he's been bothering Luke Walton a lot since the news broke. Russell said he told Luke to let him know if he was bothering him too much, but Luke said he was excited to talk basketball any time. D'Angelo loved that.

D'Angelo has been working in the weight room all summer. Says he wants to "be a bully" next season.

He will play in Summer League.

He said he wants to leave behind mistakes.

He loves accountability and freedom that Luke says he'll give him both of those. "When you mess up it's on you, it's your fault not the coach's."

Source: TWC Sportsnet following the interview.

In my opinion he seems truly excited about Luke and is excited to get moving in that direction.

Perfect fit with Luke. Just perfect. Luke's actually a perfect fit with the young guys and will be with the rest of the roster we construct. Everything falling together just beautifully. I can't stand this; I'm so freaking excited.

Russell should thrive in the space and pace offense Walton wants to implement. When 24 said that Russell can see three steps ahead of anyone on the floor, then the ball movement and that of his teammates should be tailor made for his innate ability. I've seen some accurate passes last season from Russell where the scoring opportunity was dropped because it was not expected and was not within the schemes being run.

I am more interested in how Walton will incorporate low post play with Randle and Nance at the 4 spot or if we get that big center that has the ability to score in close. How will he open up the lanes for either one? I don't think Golden State had that option on their plays except lobs. Bogut is spotty and Ezeli is a stiff...

Golden State ran certain actions that involved post play; I'd imagine more often not than not the moments you seen them in the post is to attack a mismatch; so, if Randle gets switched onto a smaller player, you'll see the Lakers take advantage of that opportunity.
