The worst unanimous MVP the league has ever chosen. And considering he had so many injuries he probably won't ever be as good as he was during the regular season of this year.

Warriors fans should be sick. No championship. Probably no Durant, and a beat up Curry that's gonna be getting older not younger.

Hopefully this a humbling experience for Steph and GS and they come back next year hungrier. I do think they got a little arrogant sort of like the 11' Lakers were.

Behind the back to Thompson that went out of bounds during a tight game down the stretch. I said in the Finals thread that was a bonehead play. But I think jazzy has the right description for it: arrogance. Who the eff does that in a game 7... in a tight game in the 4th Q? Who???

It all went downhill from there. It's like Karma finally caught up to 'em. Couldn't hit a bucket after that and Kyrie adds insult to Crying Jordan levels of injury by hitting the go-ahead 3 with the unanimous MVP guarding him.

as i've said many times, pretty sure he was playing with a significant injury. with a game like his, the margin for error is infinitesimal. he can't afford to be a half step slower or have 4% less lift in his legs. it's why the pantheon is full of freaks in terms of size, athleticism, or both. it's why ben simmons is going #1 in the draft.

but i don't think any of this invalidates his season. he was most certainly the nba's mvp, right up until he got hurt in game 1 of the playoffs.

Exposed very badly this series. He was the major reason they lost tonight and the series imo (because he was such a major piece of that team).

That failed unnecessary behind the back pass that went sailing out of bounds in a tight 4th quarter of game 7 told me all I needed to know about where his head was at. His last few three point attempts barely drew iron. Something got into his head (Lebron) and he was utterly mentally defeated. Say what you will about Draymond and all his controversial issues, but that dude came to play.

If he wants another MVP he needs to work on his conditioning this off season and get better the next NBA season. I know one thing, the Warriors won't be hurting for motivation next year, they will have this 3-1 lead burned in their retinas until the season starts again, especially CURRY. And Curry has no finals MVP. Plus he took so many L's these couple of weeks, they mocked his shoes, all the attention on his family, the media dragging him for performing so poorly. Woo his off season is going to be painful.

Learning experience. Kobe went through it multiple times and he has 5 titles. LeBron went through it many times. Curry needs to experience this adversity now.

He had to be hurt...i dont know how else to explain this drop off in the playoffs.

He couldn't shake off bigs when they would switch on him which he was consistently great at in the regular season.

I read somewhere that both of his shoulders are screwed and he may need surgery. So he probably needs surgery on his knee, probably still need some medical help on his ankle, and he needs additional surgery on his shoulders. He might not ever be like he was during the regular season, ever again. He was young and spry when he got his first ankle surgery so he had plenty time to make up ground but he's 28 now and already in his prime. Future doesn't look good for Curry.

Commend him for the way he displayed himself in the postgame locker room/press conference and saying on the court after the game (He, Iggy, Draymond - did the same.)

Can't be easy after being that close and having a commanding 3-1 lead.

He said in the post game press conference he won't be having any surgery's. Props for him going as far as saying if your on the court which he was your not injured and they (GSW) have not excuses for how they lost this series.

Poor decision making on the greatest stage. I don't care if he's hurt, you can't have some of the brainless plays that he did. Horrible. I can' understand not being at your best, but I cannot understand making bad decision after bad decision.

He deserves a lot of the criticism leveled his way. I find myself hoping he's hurt so I have some excuse and he's not just a complete failure on his part.

He had one of the most brilliant regular seasons ever, then he gets hurt, and he looked very mortal afterwards. There's no doubt he was hurt. I wonder how hurt.

We'll have to see if he'll get the opportunity to redeem himself.

Something must have happened because the dude looked bad most of the series. I think the 2 factors that killed them were Boguts absence and the Draymond suspension. GSW had no shot blocking whatsoever and that killed them- I don't think they even won without Bogut

Its true. LeBron didn't post monster numbers this year but he came through and he played amazing in 3 elimination games. I have to give him credit.

Curry has his apologists that say he was hurt bla bla...bottom line is he didn't come through.

He got manhandled in the playoffs.

One of the best regular seasons ever, but the playoffs can be a completely different game.

This shows him what he'll have to work in to succeed about tougher and more physical competition.

MVP is a regular season award. Curry absolutely earned that, he had an incredible season, doing things we've rarely and in some cases maybe never seen before. The playoffs are a different season, and he played well up until the finals considering the injuries. That said, he was awful in the Finals by his standards, injured or not, played very physical or not. He was awful, and he's a huge reason the Warriors lost.

btw, the playoffs being a different game is wrong. that's on the league to fix. the problem is that it seems like fans enjoy that narrative.
