Saw his ig feed with his new shooting form....wow hella quick release and much more compact. Hope it translate well during live games
Don't think this one's been posted yet. <blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-version="7" style=" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);"><div style="padding:8px;"> <div style=" background:#F8F8F8; line-height:0; margin-top:40px; padding:28.125% 0; text-align:center; width:100%;"> <div style=" background:url(data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAACwAAAAsCAMAAAApWqozAAAABGdBTUEAALGPC/xhBQAAAAFzUkdCAK7OHOkAAAAMUExURczMzPf399fX1+bm5mzY9AMAAADiSURBVDjLvZXbEsMgCES5/P8/t9FuRVCRmU73JWlzosgSIIZURCjo/ad+EQJJB4Hv8BFt+IDpQoCx1wjOSBFhh2XssxEIYn3ulI/6MNReE07UIWJEv8UEOWDS88LY97kqyTliJKKtuYBbruAyVh5wOHiXmpi5we58Ek028czwyuQdLKPG1Bkb4NnM+VeAnfHqn1k4+GPT6uGQcvu2h2OVuIf/gWUFyy8OWEpdyZSa3aVCqpVoVvzZZ2VTnn2wU8qzVjDDetO90GSy9mVLqtgYSy231MxrY6I2gGqjrTY0L8fxCxfCBbhWrsYYAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC); display:block; height:44px; margin:0 auto -44px; position:relative; top:-22px; width:44px;"></div></div><p style=" color:#c9c8cd; font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; line-height:17px; margin-bottom:0; margin-top:8px; overflow:hidden; padding:8px 0 7px; text-align:center; text-overflow:ellipsis; white-space:nowrap;"><a href="" style=" color:#c9c8cd; font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; font-style:normal; font-weight:normal; line-height:17px; text-decoration:none;" target="_blank">A video posted by Drew Hanlen (@drewhanlen)</a> on <time style=" font-family:Arial,sans-serif; font-size:14px; line-height:17px;" datetime="2016-06-07T21:54:48+00:00">Jun 7, 2016 at 2:54pm PDT</time></p></div></blockquote> <script async defer src="//platform.instagram.com/en_US/embeds.js"></script>
I think it will translate in games, with time. I know we're all frustrated with how the past two seasons played out, but we need patience with these kids. I'm sick of reading posts concluding that Jordan plateaued. It's just not true.
Considering that's what I said, I'll defend myself. He plateaued last season. That cannot be denied. That's not to say he can break through that and continue to improve, but last season he hit a point where he stopped improving especially defensively. The off-season is the time to break those old habits though and clearly he's trying to do just that.
FYI it wasn't directed at you. I'd say there's still a general sentiment that JC has plateaued and he's best served as a 6th man moving forward. What really happened last season is he struggled, just like everyone else on this team. Vets like Kobe, Lou, Roy, Brandon, Nick, Ryan, Metta, Tarik, all had career worst seasons, and yet JC is getting singled out. That can not be denied either.
I don't think it was specific to Jordan, but that doesn't really matter. The team was bad in Jordan's first year, but he continued to improve every day he played. Enough to make the All-Rookie 1st Team in just half a season. Randle showed strides toward the end of the season of passing the ball better, making better decisions on the floor, and finishing with his right hand. Jordan needs to find a next level and it looks like he's doing it.
I also said JC plateaud last season, and that he may have reached or come close to his ceiling. But that wasn't really a knock on him, for the 46th pick he's already far exceeded expectations, and he was our most consistent and maybe best player last season. If he can improve his defense and shoot even better though, I'll be glad to be proved wrong, I really like the kid. We still haven't even guaranteed he will be a Laker next season though, that's step one, and I do hope it happens and we don't have to overpay or let him go to not overpay.
I'm not sure it's disputable that his play didn't level off last season. But saying he plateaud for one season is completely different than saying he already reached his ceiling, that's a different discussion. Yeah, it's similar wording, but it's not the same. If he can start playing D, if he's improved his jumper, and he's gotten even bigger and stronger, than he certainly didn't hit his ceiling last season.
Real, you bet JC would be out of the league, selling mix tapes at Lakers' games by next season's ASB. At least that's what I'm telling everyone you said
Both of those bets are somehow good ones... I'm feeling good about it. I also might have a gambling issue.
