Not sure anyone knows. I haven't heard much about his workouts. But if WCS fills the 5 spot, is he still a target?

I'd do that deal and draft marquees Chriss.

    Dlo
    Jc
    Ingram
    Chriss
    Willie

    That's an athletic team

i'd want more. maybe expand the trade and they absorb nick young and the lakers get gay?

not even sure that does it. randle's ceiling is still pretty high.

I agree. Randle proved he can play, WCS is like Javale, Blatche, etc. etc. big athletic guys who are not skilled. A dime a dozen. I don't think I'll gamble on that just to get an unproven rook.

WCS advanced defensive metrics is muchmuch better than Randle could ever hope to be....i for one would do the deal easily...gsw offense comes from the guards and forwards. But if Randle cant expand his range he won't fit the offense either. At least with wcs he can switch on any pnr and not be a total sieve when matched up on guards. That rumor is bs anyways, i bet sac wouldn't even do 8 for randle let alone involve wcs. I remember reading on realgm sac forum where they had a guy that had an in with the org and said la and sac was in talks to do a gay for dlo trade (how absurd would that have been)

Sacramento wouldn't do 8 this year after seeing Randle's rookie year? Or any team? Or you?

    And hey I remember you.

Sac wouldn't imo....randle does nothing for their spacing and his offense isnt efficient. Wcs defense more than makes up for his lack of O....randle O doesnt make up for his lack of d....however id say i wouldnt trade randle for 8....i dont forsee whoever at 8 being better than randle at the present but asding wcs tilts the scale heavily in our favor

Defensive bigs are dime-a-dozen. We'll pick up Whiteside or Biyombo (both better than WCS) this summer. Julius is untouchable.

Lol. Dime a dozen? Those two will command a combined $150m.

If we get 1 of them sure but given the signing last couple of yrs im not confident mgmt has what it takes to sign players that other team are after as well

FWIW, I was pumped about the Hibbert signing. Turns out he was busted. WCS is a better player.

WCS has a reputation as a defender, but is he really a great defender? His Defensive Rating was only one point better than Julius's last season and his defensive win shares were worse.

His Per36 blocks and steals numbers are better than Julius, but WCS only played 66 games last season and 21 minutes per game.

He is a better defensive player than Julius, but I'm not convinced at all he's a better overall player and I'm not really in the mood for moving a proven NBA commodity for two unknowns; especially when we 60 million dollars to go get a player of equal or greater ability to WCS and the 8th pick AND keep Julius.

Lol? Who said anything about getting both? Julius is a rare talent. Bigs with abilities of WCS are readily available every year as free agents.

Well then we'll settle for another big and sign a better one next year. There's absolutely no need to downgrade our talent level at this stage of our rebuild.

At this stage in both their respective careers, you're probably right. Steven Adams made a significant impact with me with OKC; a big with his ability and the impact he had was enormous. I think WCS can have that type of impact.

Lol. Yes. "Dime a dozen" doesn't mean there are 12 of them available. It means there are a bunch of them and they're cheap. Defensive bigs are not cheap. Maybe you misused the phrase? If so, apologies. I thought you were joking.
