Newsflash: All NBA players that are (or are capable of being) stars are some degree of arrogant. Every. Single. One. It's a required trait.

Russ is going to be fine. He's a freaking teenager on the Lakers. Try to wrap your mind around that. It's insane. You can't teach the kind of vision & passing ability this kid has. Oh, and he's a hell of a shooter already. And he's got elite length for a PG.

Yeah, I'm not trading him anytime soon. We're not getting a superstar for him anytime soon as far as I can tell anyway. Also, what does a "superstar" plus yet-to-be-developed talents like Randle, Clarkson, Nance & the #2 pick equal anyway? Unless something crazy happens, we're better off rolling with our young core and seeing how they develop under a real coach, IMO.

I can't stand Tim Duncan. So freaking arrogant.

Or Kawaii Leorard, Manu, or TP. F all the Spurs those arrogant bastards.

You don't think those guys are arrogant about their games? I guarantee they walk on the court knowing they're the S and firmly believe they'll beat everyone they step out on the court with.

I guess I like the guys who aren't so outwardly arrogant. Confidence isn't the same as arrogance.

Did you not like Kobe? He's been called outwardly arrogant more than most.

Not saying D'Russ is Kobe or ever will approach that level. Just making a point. I wish I understood the thought process behind wanting these guys to be robots out there on the court. Sports are entertainment. And part of that entertainment (for me, at least) is when these players show emotion. I love hating guys like Garnett who lose their minds out there a little bit. Makes our team shutting him up all the more satisfying.

Either way, for every cerrebral Duncan or Kawaii, there are about 20 chest-thumping loud-mouths like Draymond out there. I have no problem with it, personally. Furthermore, if it helps a kid like D'Angelo maintain confidence in himself to stay engaged and fight through struggles to score 37 points in a game and continue his development, bring it on.

Keeping it associated with on court play will help his life go easier.

Comparing anyone to Kobe is probably unfair, but he was earning his stripes wearing out veterans in practice and from the age of 16. He was an All Star as a rookie and Slam Dunk Champion.

We may never agree on this topic completely, but I think we can agree that winning makes all the petty minutia go away, and covers a multitude of sins.

But that being said, I'll take a Klay Thompson over JR Smith every day.

Sigh... The individuals who pass as a "celebrity" nowadays...[rolls eyes]

On topic: good to see that Russell is keeping up with his work-outs and trying to round out his overall game.

Such arrogance. Trying to get attention after a high profile rookie gets a workout. What a publicity ho.

I was just about to post this. Ingram is in the building, so of course Russ shows up to asset alpha male dominance, show off how hard he's working and get some spotlight, maybe even put out bad vibes because it's not his buddy Simmons. Also, I hate Sports Nation so much, I'm not sure you could put 3 more annoying sports personalities in one room and have it be this successful for god knows why.

I guess you don't see the difference between guy talk amongst each other and someone going "Chatty Cathy" to the world with someone else's information. Neither did D'Angelo.

Oh I understand alright, but that's not the point. Nick is not a victim. I don't approve of DA's decision making but Nick is the last person i want teaching Russ life lessons.
