Fun series, but the Lakers still win. Mychal says we didn't take enough threes, but if you took what we know now and put it into that team they WOULD take more threes from Coop and Scott especially, maybe even Magic with that nasty looking shot.

The Lakers had multiple competent wing defenders. My question is who on the Warriors guards Kareem? Seriously. Who guards the greatest weapon in NBA history?

The Warriors probably win a game or two on shooting, but I can't see them winning a series. I thought Klay's comment was a rib at his father and Mychal is trying to be understanding but selling himself short.

The Warriors just had a tough time beating the Thunder who are filled with long, athletic guys. They wouldn't beat the 80s Lakers who had more talented, long, athletic guys and they played as a complete unit.

No one ever wins era debates. I guess it's fun sometimes to think about, but in reality we'll never know.

That being said, I'm posting up Magic on Curry lol, and watching the chess match from there.

At the end of the day: Kareem.

Warriors have no answer for him.

Dubs would have a huge advantage from 3, but Curry trying to guard Magic down low would be comical.

    Lakers in 6.

Warriors take tons of quick shots (and make many of them) and turn the ball over quite a bit. Do that with the scariest fast breaking team ever and you're asking for trouble. Showtime would have 40+ fast break points/game. Then in the halfcourt, posting up Magic, Cap and Worthy...yikes! They'd put Green on Magic like the bulls did with Pippen, but then Worthy and Cap eat alive the paint.

I think this is more of a shot at his dad than Klay really believing that this Warriors team is better than the Showtime Lakers.

That way he said it in the post game press conference following the Game 2 win and the smirk he had on his face. He knows he what he was doing.

...similar to Luke Walton in the 2010 Parade stating he won his rings with a BETTER organization than his father did. Good times. Maybe Klay believes Ezeli was a more capable back-up center than his Pops?

I would take the 3-peat Bulls and Lakers over them anyways.

I really don't even care about this era vs. era stuff anymore.

Generally speaking, I believe the game evolves and newer/younger athletes are better than older/former athletes.

Who wins? who cares. Its not happening.

The 2016 Lakers beat the 2016 Warriors and we sucked.

No, just no. Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Cooper, Green, Thompson if we're talking the back to back team. Nobody they have could stop Kareem, and if they focused all defense on Magic he finds those guys I listed.

Also they ain't beating our 2000-2002 team. Who's defending Kobe/Shaq? Not even sure they'd beat the Kobe/Pau teams.

^ For what it's worth Kareem said the same regarding the early 2000s Lakers. Like I've been saying in other threads: who exactly on the Warriors does something against Shaq. Bogut? Ezeli? Good luck going small against Shaq.

we saw what mobile big men like Adams and Kanter did in disrupting their rhythm, what more with Pau/LO/Bynum?

I agree that the Warriors probably wouldn't beat the showtime Lakers or 2000-2002 Lakers, but the 2009-2010?

Mmm maybe. As much as I liked Kobe and Pau, that team was IMO one of the weakest of our championship team.
