Lebron career FG% outside the paint in the Finals after Game 2 :

    112/369 = 30

I can already see all the excuses they'll make for Lebaby. But who cares cause 2-5 is still 2-5.

I've had this asked of me, "why have you always rooted so hard against Lebron?", I don't hate him, he's a good basketball player and a future hall of famer and will be a top tier legend. I hate how the media props him up, how they suck his.... Constantly, while in the same sentence have to take a shot at Kobe.

But if he loses this finals, itll be even sweeter for me. He has made this bed, time for him to sleep in it. He got rid of Blatt for Lue, went home to play with Kyrie, traded Wiggins for Love, overpaid for the role players. All his doing.

If they lose game 3, it'll be a sweep. If not, 5 games max. Warriors have a bunch of players to throw at Lebron and enough weapons to still win even if The Splash bros are off. Just gotta be careful of thuggish antics.

I mean LeBron losing will be fun. But honestly, the Cavs just aren't as good as the Warriors.

Lets not forget Jerry West is 1-8 in the Finals and still considered great and "Mr. Clutch" by everyone.

I won't be rooting for LeBron and I hope he loses, but it will not be what makes or breaks a great career and LeBron is an all-time great player, just too full of himself for someone who will soon be 2-5. He can't call himself the chosen one anymore. But 6 Finals in a raw is impressive, even if the Leastern conference is generally garbage.

Valid points, West had those stacked C Bags to face and couldn't beat them though, was a smaller league with I'd assume less diluted talent. I think the issue with LeBron is him being compared to Jordan and being put above Kobe, Magic, Kareem, Bird, and so many others with only 2 titles. ESPN and their stupid rankings this season were ridiculous, ranking LeBron 3rd all time, that's a slap in the face to so many greats before him more deserving. 6 Finals in a row is good, but the East is garbage, and you should win more than 2 of those 6 if you're 3rd best or even top 10 all time. He's great, yes, but he's benefited from such a weak conference, no hand checking allowing him to get to the rim with ease and never having to develop his shot or post game really. I think a lot of his stats are a product of this and a bit inflated.

True ... Pb is he doesn't try forcing the issue enough and go down without too much fight ( except for last season)

What the Lebron defenders are calling " making the right play" lol

The 2011 NBA Finals remained the biggest chokejob ever by a superstar on this stage ... and he was still scared down the stretch in Game 6 in 2013.

Lebron main pb is he still cares about what people think about the way he plays

The thing is the media and sports fans, gave LeBron the crown before fitting him for it. People are so afraid to critique his game or where his game has faltered a little, because they spent all this time placing him on a pedestal he probably wanted to gradually build on his own. Magic, Larry, Kareem, Isaiah, Oscar, Kobe and Jordan all had to work for their status, LeBron was crowned before his first title or hardware, that's what frustrates people. LeBron isn't flaw free, and that's okay, no great player is. It's perfectly fine to dissect his game. For those who elevated him so fast and early, it's probably tougher for them to do it, because it's equivalent to kids finding out Santa Claus isn't real.

He'll still go down as a top 10 all time player with a great career once he's done, but the sports world won't stop spinning because he gets critiqued.

He was teasing his father. I'm sure he knows they've got a long way to go before catching up to Showtime or Jordan's Bulls or those 80s C Bags and even the 3-peat Lakers. They're close to the three-peat Lakers though and good for them.

I'd honestly love for them to win 4/5 the next few years. Not only does that franchise deserve it, but they're mostly good kids and it's fun seeing good people make it far. By the end of their run we should be relevant again so it works for me. Besides, that means LeBron probably doesn't win any rings in that stretch.

True greatness is fun to watch, unlike LeBron's "greatness".

Even if his stats are 100% earned, which I'm fine with conceding, does it matter? When it matters most he has consistently came up short. He's not in the same class as the true greats. The greatest part of this is we get to witness TRUE greatness in these Warriors and if anything it should really help juxtapose against LeBron's brand. Curry and the Warriors have history about them and they know it. They're doing it and making it happen. LeBron can go to as many Finals as he wants but as he keeps losing them, he cannot reach the highest peaks of the greats. End of story.

I feel bad for Jerry West a bit because I'm sure the criticism brings up awful memories for himself and I'm sure he relates to LeBron's struggle a lot, but a) they're different and b) the reason Jerry's name isn't mentioned in the first five of the greatest of all time is because he only has the one ring.

re: a) Jerry never hopped around hoping for a ring. Soft. Jerry also went up against a team full of Hall of Fame caliber players. LeBron hasn't had that same type of competition.

he's 2-4 all time in the finals

    2007-Lost
    2011-Lost
    2012-Won
    2013-Won
    2014-Lost
    2015-Lost

unless you're assuming he'll lose again this year (which is looking like he will)
    :Kobe Snickering:

reaching 6 finals in a row is definitely impressive, even though the eastern conference has been absolute garbage his entire career and a lot of the teams he's faced have been jokes. the funny thing is that he would be 1-5, going on 1-6 all time in the finals had ray allen not bailed his a** out with that crazy last second shot in '13

I am VERY unimpressed with Lebron's 6 consecutive finals. Put him in the west and he makes 1-2 finals tops. Put the 3rd-4th best team in the west (OKC or Clipps) in the east and either of those teams make it to 6 straight finals as well.

If Lebronze had gone to six straight finals in the West I'd give him massive credit. As it stands, it says a whole lot more about the competition in the East than his greatness, IMO.

As weird as this playoff season has been, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened. We thought the Spurs were gonna cruise and beat OKC after game 1 but OKC won the series. The freak injuries in the West to Chris Paul's hand and the Raptors beating the Heat after people thought the Heat had the series. And lets not forget this Warriors team being down 3-1 on their way out, but coming back and winning the series in 7.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland ties this series and possibly force it to a game 6, would not surprise me. Also I know the Cavs and the Kang are hearing people writing off the team, they're gonna want to make history and try to win this series.

    Exactly.

Kobe, Shaq, and Duncan all made it to the Finals 18 combined times. All, but Shaq's lone appearance with Miami in 2006 came in the West. To me that's much more impressive than making it seven times in the East. Think about who they had to face. Each other for one. When Minnesota was actually good when KG was in his prime. Those stacked Sacramento teams before C-Webb went down. Portland had stacked teams with Sheed, Scottie, Sabonis, etc. Dallas with a prime Dirk. Phoenix with prime Nash and Amare. List goes on and on and on. Who did LeBron have to face? He dealt with Detroit and then Boston a couple of years. That's it.
