One of the craziest playoff series I've ever seen. Many predicted GS in 7, but not after being down 3-1. That's a championship team. Now PLEASE close this out. I want LeBron 2 out of 7 in the Finals so bad.
You gotta believe that after facing such adversity and still grinding out the series win, Golden State will come out guns blazing against the Cavs, and will definitely take it more serious, unlike their sloppyness in Game 1
I like Barnes. Not as a starter and not at a crazy contract. Not sure he does anything that Livingston doesn't.
i like barnes as a starter, but i will say that it was clear in this series that iggy is the better fit with how they want to play. i know i'm in the minority, but i think barnes could be better in a bigger role. he's young, he's a legit starting player who plays both ends and is appropriately sized for his position. i'd pay him a fair amount of cash in this market. upwards of that 14 million figure, though i'm starting to re-think max. if the lakers offer 4 years, 65-70 million, does gs blink? maybe... anyway, back to the series: it's tough to win when a team shoots like that from three. okc outplayed them for most of the game, but their spirit was broken when gs got the lead by simply busting contested pull-up threes. this is why you can't really emulate their offense. you can borrow the principles, but you don't have two all-time great level shooters. nobody does.
He's pretty much ours now. He just needs to play Lil B one on one so the curse can be lifted. That should be Mitch's first order of business after he hands him his Lakers jersey at the press conference. In other news, I'm still blocked by KD on Twitter.
What a great series, best of the playoffs. I've been/still am on vacation so I haven't been able to update the original post. And you guys figure out what to do for Finals discussion.
I dunno man, to me Barnes is Ariza without the wingspan. I don't give an Ariza 14 mil, and I loved Ariza.
OKC was up 13...then it seemed like in a flash Dubs lead by 11. Curry's and Thompson's outside shooting is just crazy. Never, ever, ever seen anything like these two... When Barry was presenting them the WCF trophy, he was shaking his head after speaking to Curry in private. Probably saying the same thing. My take is that had Curry not missed time and synching with his teammates, the Warrior could have beaten OKC in less grinding fashion. Ya...beat James and the Cavaliers. However, it could be tougher this time around with a healthy Love and Irving. Warriors in six.
