Yes, basically a solid role player that gets paid around MLE to 10 million per. Not even close to a max player.
I say this gets closed out in Oklahoma. Golden State played about as well as they could these days and it was still close. I don't see them having this same kind of fight in Oklahoma.
Man I just can't bet against the Warriors in game 6, even though they were blown out both times in OKC. Last year they were down 2-1 to Memphis and CLE and then went on 3 game streaks to end the series. I know it's 3-1 in this situation and OKC is playing at a high level but I can't see them flaming out. OKC needs game 6 because Oracle will pop off on a game 7. This game will have a Ray Allen cHeat 3 in game 6 on the Spurs feel if OKC loses. They will be totally deflated for game 7.
I still feel like OKC closes it out at home in Game 6. GSW still isn't quite firing on all cylinders and Durant and Westbrook's killer instincts were dialed in last night - they kept coming at the Warriors and never let up. But we'll see. Like Doc said, even being down 3-1 it's still hard to totally count the Warriors out. They are an amazing team.
Or they could be galvanized to stay together vs quit on what they have. This is a team that lost Harden and Reggie in recent seasons, but keeps successfully reloading. They don't have a bad gig, and they have a good coach. Dedicated fans, major status, not a lot of competition for attention, benefits of living in a small market.
I'll say this, I think GS had more of a chance to come back and win this series down 3-1 than Toronto did to win their's tied 2-2. I don't think either happens, but if I had to put money on one, I put it on GS.
OKC had their chances last night... That Durant trey that missed with them down 6 with 33 ticks left was their last gasp. I was impressed with two Curry defensive stops. One strip on Durant in the key and the other was a steal a couple of possessions later. Golden State though seem to labor in putting the Thunder away. I'm in the thought that if OKC loses Game 6 they are cooked in the 7th...
Spurs : 9 times Lakers : 7 OKC : 4 Mavs : 3 Warriors : 2 Suns : 2 The 7 teams remaining : once each What an epic fail for CP2
Exactly. It'd be nice to see the Thunder do well but there's no way Cleveland is losing the Finals with home court vs OKC. No way. OKC is playing next level basketball - I'd love to see them sustain their level of play, but I just think Cleveland will handle business. Now the Warriors look human again and even if they escape this series, in the Finals it won't be a walk-through vs Cleveland. Honestly I just don't have faith in OKC to sustain their elite play and win a Finals as the away team. I hope I'm wrong because nothing will be more depressing than a summer of post-Finals LeBron/Cleveland championship media s***show.
If LeBron brings Cleveland their first title, he will be a "hero". Some people will start to put him above Jordan for doing that, while I don't even have him above Kobe. It will be hard to stomach hearing that crap all summer and then for the rest of my life.
This creeps me out more than it probably should... Also a great moment and great speech. Rocky Balboa is a good movie.
