I bet, just to be different from other bettors, on the Raptors to make the finals before the playoffs lol. It was crazy at that time but it might come true.
Before the playoffs started my friends asked me who I thought would win the championship and I told them the Raptors would. I chose them because I generally don't care or watch any basketball after the Lakers season is over. Plus I hate the Cavs and Warriors. Funny that it could possibly come true. I still haven't watched an actual game since Kobe's final game either. The most I've seen are clips on the news, Vine clips or GIFs on Twitter.
I watched the video of the block and I think that was a foul. Biyombo doesn't have position and initiates the body contact. Who knows.
Biyombo should be on Lebron all game long imo ... Give him space and let him shoot Js . Casey is terrible , leaving Bismack on Frye almost cost the Raptors the game . Toronto has ZERO chance to win at Cleveland .
Why is the ref directly behind him? Weird. Love didn't get hurt by the way. It just looked like one of those moments when you step on something unexpectedly and get scared. He was pulled from the game because Frye is playing better than he is and fits better with what they're trying to do.
I don't see why the Raptors can't win in Cleveland. It's all about DeRozan and Lowry. When they play at a high level like they have the last two ball games they're every bit as good as the Cavaliers. Conventional wisdom would tell you that Cleveland will play better at home, but Toronto at least has a puncher's chance. They've shown a lot in the last two games. Kyrie cannot stay in front of Lowry. If he continues to attack that's gonna be problematic for the Cavaliers.
Casey has to do a better job coaching in game for the Raps to keep having a good shot at winning this series. - That 4th quarter lineup to start? They have to have a much shorter leash. If stuff starts going in the crapper get your main guys (Derozan, Biyombo, Carroll) back in the game. That almost lost them the game letting them give up that 8-9 point lead. - Not adjusting to the same play CLE was running over and over again. You can't let them punk you like that for what 10 possessions in a row? Have to recognize and adjust man. Overall the Raps plan has been pretty solid though. Can't really do anything about the Cavs shooting 9-11 from 3s as long as they are contested. Keep making Kyrie take 20+ shots for 25 points, keep forcing Lebron to shoot jumpers and keep closing out on shooters. Love is shooting something like 30% on 2 point shots, they need to keep chasing him off the 3 point line and shooting contested shots. Biyombo has pretty much neutered TT so far forcing the Cavs to go with Frye at the 5. If they can figure out how to contain the offense with that lineup, they can feast defensively and on the boards. Getting Jonas back will be huge for when Biyombo needs a breather.
So glad the Raptors are making a series of this - they've already done way better than I thought. I was very down on DeRozan for his terrible inconsistencies in the two early rounds, but he's stepped up in a big way and so has Lowry and obviously Biyombo is killing it. Glad we actually have some entertainment in this one after all. Hope they can stretch it to 7.
If the Raptors win I'll be sooooo happy. Can you imagine? What does Cleveland do in response to that? They're strapped for cash even with the cap going up this summer so they can't just sign someone. It's amazing!
I said earlier this season that TOR vs GSW was my dream finals. Truly I don't really care what happens in the west, just knowing the LeCavs and the Spurs wouldn't be around would be AMAZING!
In preparation for game 5: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15700317/toronto-exposed-cavaliers-weakest-link Are the Raptors on to something here picking on the "stellar" defense of Kyrie and Love?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Cleveland just completely double-down on LBJ's window (likely due to some threat to leave by LBJ) and trade Kyrie for Chris Paul and Love for Melo.
