See I don't remember who I was having the convo with, but I told ya Tim would have him doing deadlifts and squats! ;)

Mechanics aren't perfect on that deadlift, but at least he's working on it. I love it. This kid might have ADHD but he still wants to be great.

I like the video of the dribbling drill. Seems intense. Man I really hope Russell becomes a superstar.

Excellent form. That was probably the best lift I've seen him do. Far better than the deadlifts :)

Gawdamn that's a lot of weight to lift like that. LOL coming from someone smaller. He's going to be buff this year at 20-21 years of age. I'm assuming by start of the season that weight will have increased significantly. Look out league in years to come starting now. Book it, if they are both healthy, Russell and Randle are going to play themselves into full awareness of the Olympic committee for 4 years down the road and world championships in 2. There's going to be a buzz about them and their peers will see it. So great .... to have this chance to blow up on the Olympic stage and get rid of Byron's stink laid on them as players this year.

Can't wait to see a two man game between D'Angelo and Ingram/Simmons.

D'Angelo named to second team on the All Rookie teams.

IMO should've easily been on the first.

Outside of Towns you could easily make the case he was the best rookie after. His numbers are basically identical to Booker and Porzingis even though he had much less free reign.

Doesn't matter D'Lo will be on the one that matters in a few years. Book it.

I honestly didn't think he'd make 2nd team given his negative press, but I'm happy for him. Good news.

    1st Team:

    Porzingis, Okafor, Towns, Booker, Jokic

    2nd Team:
    Cauley-Stein, Turner, Winslow, Russell, Mudiay

Weird... Okafor in the 1st team? I figured it'd be Mudiay or Winslow.

So Randle didn't make it? I assume that's because he doesn't count as a rookie?

Booker over Russell is kind of ridiculous. I like Booker, but he almost seems to be benefiting from reporters and other people hearing that he's the next Klay THimpson or whatever, then people keep repeating it without even looking to see if he's that good.

Not a big deal; his stats and quality of play will spike up next year.

I have no problem with Booker making first team, but D'Angelo should be on there. Whatever though it's not that big of a deal. As I said before considering everything that D'Lo had to deal with it he had a fine rookie season. Next year I expect him to average around 16 & 5. Don't think that's unreasonable. We didn't even really try to develop him and he still played well.

Yeah. Not worried at all about what a bunch of people who likely saw him play five minutes and then looked at ppg on ESPN think about him. He will be a star.

What exactly did Booker do so well over Russ? Get hot for the last couple months of the season instead of the middle of the year? The media really don't like Russ at all, which is really weird to me since he gave them a great story. Freakin John Salley was saying on Mike & Mike today we should trade Russ because our locker room is toxic thanks to him, and the only way he can fix it is to get off social media completely because teammates can't trust him.

This was definitely the highlight of the season for me other than Kobe's finale. I don't care that it was against Brooklyn. The fact that he carried us like that down the stretch, took those big shots like closers do, the fact that he wasn't afraid. The only player we've had to do something like that was Kobe recently. Nobody else has taken over a game like that for us.

Unfortunately, the Young incident will be dogging Russell for awhile if not the rest of his career. He already acknowledged he messed up but with initiating and maintaining success, it will just be a footnote in his career. The sad part is that all these critics act like they never did anything stupid in their lives. Glass houses...

Yup that's what negative press could do.
